What you'll find in my pocket and on my belt.

Still trying to figure out how this blade fits into the handle.

Man I'm jealous of that one! I wanted a Diskin flipper really badly, but just never got the chance. My Fire is awesome, but that flipper looks amazing.

I've got my Shirogorov 95T M390 with me today as always :D
No Bali though because I'm across the state line on work.

Your shiro is no slouch though.

The Diskin is VERY impressive. I was a touch worried about the weight as I stopped carrying heavy folders but this one is different. Its so well balanced and compact that you don't even notice it. If you told me it was under 5 ounces I might believe you. Carries well too at just a shade under .5" handle thickness.

I have it in my collection so I must try to use it sometimes...

...but it's a really lousy EDC. Heavy, clumsy and don't cut well even when sharp and totally lacks a tip!

No it is not :D
I could easily get away with only ever carrying the Shiro, I'm sure, but the additional Bali serves 2 really good puposes:
1. Cuts through gunky materials like tape that are just harder to get off the Shiro
2. Portable entertainment ;)

I had always wondered how the Diskin flipper would carry, and you don't hear a ton of information on them. Not enough of them out there yet (you hearing me Matt/Joe? ;) )

I carried a BM 51 for a few months last year. It was pretty fun, no argument here dude!

The clip is well designed and well positioned. It angles the knife properly in the pocket, if you know what I mean.

Its a tricky knife. Because the blade is so big, you expect it to be huge. Then you realize that its LESS than five inches closed and a half inch thick. It surprised me for sure.

If you can find one I would highly recommend it. Its big and visceral but man is it a fantastic blade.

Blade geometry is dialed in as well. Mine can cleanly slice phone book paper and I haven't touched the edge yet.

Let me know if you want to know anything specific. I agree that there isn't a ton of info out there on them.
