Classic pair. I think you are fully prepared for today my friend[/QUOTE]

Thanks monstrum!

What folder is that Charr? I like it alot.

Diskin Flipper. Very nice knife indeed. 4" blade, and a broad one at that, about 1.25" at the heel of the blade, but fits into a handle that is only .75" wide somehow...
Nice and lean edge of insanely sharp M390, on bearings, with an amazing action that flips very well.
Also very light, and the handle ergos are great too. Not quite as good as my Shirogorov 95T, but hey, it's a very different style of knife. Stock thickness on the blade is thick, but because the grind is so high, it really does come to a great slicing grind like I said.
Steel insert in the lockbar, full backspacer of Ti, and a nice custom pivot. A lot of features you usually don't see at this price point, in a very slick package that really delivers so far.

It is a really nice knife, but not easy to find. They aren't sold by dealers, but Matt Diskin himself is at most of the major shows and they sell them there.

@Charr For how much can one acquire one of those fine pieces in your picture (Diskin)? :)
I like it as well. Not as much as your Shiro though!

Against the rules to talk about that with unpaid members if I remember right, and this isn't the place to do it either, so I'm sending you and email.
The Shiro will probably never leave my collection...unless maybe for one of the ones with the CF handle inserts, but only if it still had M390 as the steel ;)
It's just too good of a knife not to carry it all the time :D

Oops sorry didn't know that. CF inserts would look awesome but I kinda like the turtle pattern Ti look aswell. Not sure what I would get if I could choose. Maybe just a 95T or something. I'm going to a knife meeting in April (Netherlands) and someone is taking his 3 Shiro's with him so I can play with them :)
Thanks for the email, I'll reply when I read it.

No you're good I was just letting you know.
The T was honesty the one I found first, but I would have taken the CF is I found it before I found a T if I'm truthful with myself.
They are both excellent, as I've handled the cf version as well, but unfortunately it wasn't for sale :o
I think if you want only metal on the handles, then the T is for you, but if you prefer a fuller handle, though only a little bit, then the inlaid handles are the way to go.
Either way the Shirogorov 95 is one of the best knives in the hand I've ever tried, and extremely functional if you have the heart to use one for real.

Exceptional knives all around really :D
This Diskin is certainly no slouch either ;)

the more I see that Native 5, the more I feel the urge to acquire one ... also wish my Manix 2 were one of the newer FFG ones, I love everything about the knife except the saber grind

Do it. The Native 5 is everything it's made out to be. And the FFG on the Manix makes it a wicked slicer.
