And I thought my Umnumzaan was getting a work out cutting 30 year old crusty MJ bands all day...

Lol!

It's so much more fun when you stop worrying about hurting your knife and start using the piss out of it. I'm not saying to go use it as a prybar or hammer, but scraping concrete isn't gonna hurt it. Especially M390, not a single chip, roll, flat, bur, etc. happened to my knife after scraping about 10 of these plaster spots.

I was using a Sebenza once to cut wire ties and was hitting the block wall behind it after the cuts. My apprentice knew what it cost and it was freaking him out, lol. You'd have thought it was his knife. A quick run over a diamond plate and strop on my work pants and it was back to normal.

Seeing as today is kind of a unique day (not really), the second Friday the 13th this year, I decided to pull out something special that I never carry. The knife that lead me to the knives I carry today. My favorite Benchmade knife of all time.

The BM 705-02. I've had several different 705s in the past. Sold them all, all but this one.

Beautiful BM, Zeta!

I prefer the 707 myself, but it hasn't been carried in ages. Like my plain Jane stabby, it's seen a few too many sharpenings;)

Exactly, if you can resharpen it, then who cares!

Kind of reminds me of this one time a coworker asked to use my knife. I said "sure, but careful though. It was expensive.". Which he replied, "how expensive?". It was my large sebenza, and when I told him the price, he just folded it up and handed it back to me and said "I'll just go get my box cutter..." LOL!!!
