In the cove at the top of the mountain was this crazy bee hive, I've never seen anything like it

Hey John, Happy B day to your pops! This proves my theory that the older you get the smaller your edc knives get.![]()
Crazy. Open combs are more commonly found in bees of the dorsata and laboriosa species (common to India and Nepal). But pretty uncommon among bees usually found in the US. It does happen, but it's rare. Very cool to see.
Heck of a great gift, brother! You got quite a matching set there!!
I know the feeling. HDS has made awesome lights for a while. Real indestructible light perfect for pocket and clip carry. I EDC'd a 4-sevens quark 1 x cr123 for a while after I gave my Orb Raw over to my best friend when he left for school. Lost the quark on a camping trip. Haven't been active on CPF for quite a while. Figured I'd join up on a blade forum after a while but avoided it to protect my wallet until recently. Any more torches in the lineup? It's insane what they've done with Emitters the last half decade or so.

Ya! How about the new Maglite Mini Pro rocking 272 lumens from 2 x AA batteries? That thing used to put out about 12 lumens from a tiny incan. bulb. Now it out throws the hottest cutting edge LED torches from 2005 with two alkaline batteries and lasts longer too. The technology has progressed faster than the internet. Good picture and thank you for your service! I dig those knives you've been making lately..keep up the good work!
Nice Centofante! Auto presumably?
The slide is an extra lock. I glued in in the open position. The Liner lock works well enough for me.
