Erik, manual action isn't quite as good as the Blur, but it's adequate. It's about .4 oz. lighter than the S30V Blur, so maybe the lighter weight is what makes the difference, IDK. The detent is good and strong. It hasn't opened in my pocket or when I draw it out to use.

mine is de-assisted too. It's fine - not super smooth. polishing the washers would probably help. If pointed downward, it latches without a wrist flick. Just used it to cut baklava. :D
