Wow! Those screws really set it off!

Thank you, kind sir! I'd have to agree.

Thanks John! Haha it's funny seeing texts from each other then also continuing into the thread. Love this knife, I rarely carry it, and when I do...it's pouched on my belt. Funny, I beat on my Sebenzas but no, the CQC7A is just too pretty for hard use. Lol! Says the guy who tags stuff with "no safe queens". What can I say?

Hey man, how's the Bad Monkey compare to the Vindicator you have? I believe it's the Vindicator...;)

Got a Vindicator and a CQC15. Personally the Bad Monkey feels a little better in hand than the Vindicator. Other than that right now I am really liking both of them. You hear a lot about the fit and finish on Emerson knives but the two I have were some excellent examples. The Bad Monkey is no slouch in that department either, near perfect all the way around. The thing that probably sticks out the most is that the Bad Monkey is the lightest of the three but also the largest, at 9.25" open. Worth noting that the BM does ride a bit lower in the pocket as well.

Also I have been pretty impressed with the 14c steel. I got the blade directly from Southern Grind at Blade and have had this one since and have only had to touch it up on a strop a couple times so far. The only thing I wish about the Bad Monkey is that I would have picked the satin instead of the coated blade. Nothing wrong with the coating, it holds up pretty well for my edc but they have some excellent satin finish blades. But then again that leaves the excuse for me to build me a custom on their site later haha :D

EDIT: I will bring all three with me tomorrow and get some comparison shots.

Haha try not to get the convos mixed up! And it's definitely a beauty. I don't know if I'd be able to dirty her up.

Thanks for all the insight, man! I've read that SG's 14C was top notch stuff.

And try to stay out of trouble with all those Waves :p

Haha, 10-4, no problem bud! I honestly dont use the wave on them very often. It is easy to remove them from the pocket without it.

Carrying the sebenza, just got the reate hills(the box), and I found this carcano rifle today while cleaning out a shed at work. The rifle is pretty rusty, but then again it's been in a moldy shed for quite a while and is over 70 years old. Its still pretty cool though.
Its been a pretty good day.

Put a fresh new edge on my edc last night and back into the pocket she went. Of all the steels I have, no blade takes as wild an edge as Devin Thomas ss damascus. Smooth to the touch like glass, little bit of pressure and then it bites. Aside from a stropping here and there, the edge lasted 3 months of moderate to "heavy" cutting before needing a real hone. Constantly impressed by this blade.

New lanyard ties together the personal touches well too, I think...

What did you do to your pocket insert? I usually always carry my knife with a clip, but that insert looks really good and thinking of getting one
