EDC knives get a home for bedtime

Someone should really design a knife dresser and sell them. Im not really keen on the storage bags makers sell or ppl using hard cases.

We have a big unused dresser in the garage, my gal said I could put it in our room and dedicate it to my knives.
The only problem is I couldn't find anywhere in our room where it would fit :(

The daughter has a 3 foot high jewelry box from her great grandma, that would be PERFECT, but she refused to even discuss letting me have that one... :D

Sears has those big jewelery ones. They work but i want something a little more manly and personalized to knives. Dividers that can be adjusted, clothed lined.

I like the way you think. The dividers and cloth lined would be ideal.

That'll work. I picked up a wooden tool chest, actually two from cheap tool store. Price is higher now than what I paid but they work well, hold lots of knives and you can lock them to keep sticky fingers off your stuff. Not what I'd call secure storage but they are good enough to keep the little hands off sharp things.

That's what I was going to suggest. The cheap tool store on the bay that ships cargo.

I think you can get them at Home Improvement centers too but they cost more. I started out with one then had to add a second one. I only use them for knives that I don't have boxes for but it's surprising how fast you can fill them up.

I have a humidor i keep mine in.

I was wondering if anyone used a humidor....climate controlled knife storage :)

Nice, DesertChris!

I just bought a chest of drawers with two small drawers up top. My wife thought I would put ties and socks in them! But I bought this specifically for its EDC drawers on top:

(Note the Buck Vantages, DesertChris.)

Just saw this thread started yesterday:

Awesome Scott!
Gotta love those Vantages, I use mine quite a lot :)

Here is the dresser in the garage that my gal said I could.have in our room, for my knives.....
And socks, underwear etc...... If I could find room for it....
I got out a measuring tape, and there just wasn't anywhere I could fir the dang thing :(
The top 6 drawers would easily hold all of my user knives!
And the bottom 3 could hold EDC Undergarments :D

I have a bunch of these, but I wanted something nicer.....

Best idea ever is the next photo..... but somehow I think it would end in divorce

Me.... "But Sweety, I could put socks and underwear in the bottom drawers"
Her.... "Get out! You now get to sleep in the garage with your toolbox...."

You know if you want something like a Plano plastic box but that gives better protection, look at flambeau. They come with dividers that inhibit rust. I have some for my fishing gear and it does help. But yea i think the plastic trays are lacking in presentation

Here is the little storage thing i got from tj maxx a few months ago

Luckily the jewelry box holds most of the smaller stuff.....
And both drawers in my nightstand are stuffed with fixed blades and belt carry folders :)

I would really like to squeeze that wooden dresser in the room somewhere tough....that would be much better.

I just had an epiphany :)

I am allocated 2 of the drawers in our dresser..... She gets the rest, as it should be :)
One for socks and one for underwear.
The boy absconds with my socks constantly, so I should just keep them in his dresser in his room :p
Underwear are far less useful than Buck Knives, so I should either box them up or burn them immediately :D
That would give me 2 decent sized drawers, one for fixed blades, and one for belt carry sized folders. :D
Shoot..... I could use the underwear as padding to protect the knives from drawer rash.....hahahahha!!!
