EDC Lighters?

Another vote for Bic.

I usuially wrap some duct tape around mine...comes in handy sometimes and no one ever ganks your fuego.

Now if it's cigar night...that's a whole different story

I always a bic in my bag car etc. I carry a bic when out woods roaming . I work at a hospital , at work I carry a zippo fire starter kit . It gives my inner survivalist something to start a fire and allows me to not lie to the people that ask if I have a light . (We are a tobacco free campus ) .

Have a lot of Bics scattered everywhere: random drawers, vehicles, etc. I carry a zippo with a butane insert everyday, though. Pretty handy. Not nearly as fun as the standard insert though

Whats the deal with the standard zippo insert?! It stinks, it evaporates fuel, the flame size changes depending how much fuel is left, it takes 2 or 3 strikes to light it... but I love it. The smell and whole experience is so much better than a butane lighter.

So the fluid lasts way longer but I had to switch to cargo pocket carry



Seriously though, I just came across my previous EDC...this rode in my pocket with my pipe tamper for at least 10 years and never let me down.

I only smoke about 1/4 pack a day and like a lot of you I carry a Bic. In my late teens and early twenties I carried a Zippo but finally got tired of the ritual of keeping it going. Every now and then I'll be tempted to buy cheaper disposable lighters but I always regret it. And I ever quit smoking I'll switch out my Bic with a Mini Bic. But I'd still carry one.

The old bic lighters with the adjustable flames were the best back in the day.I always carry a mini now.
