Edc recommendedation

Hey yall! This is my first post in the bussekin forum. Hope I'm alright here.

Anyways, I have been eyeing busse and kin for a while now. I would like to edc one of the smaller fixed blades, in the under 8 inch range. So, do any of you edc one of those? From what I've heard you can throw a busse at anything, and I want to get in. Thanks!

8" overall length?

I really like a few of the various HACK Wardens, and I'm expecting to really like the Trail Scalpels I ordered the first week of February.

If I didn't already have a custom BA3 filling this role, I'd be all over the mean street ergo that was offered a month or so back. Holy crap that looks like the ideal etc to me.

Yes, 8 inch overall

An 8 inch blade is ridiculous for most of my purposes.

Unless it's clearing brush. Maybe for my farm edc..

That's what I thought when I read your original post. Check out those HACK Wardens. I'm currently carrying an ELMAX HACK Warden every day (that I carry a Busse). Before that it was an INFI Rail Road Spike HACK Warden. When the Trail Scalpels arrive, it will be one of those.

Hard to go wrong with the meaner street, active duty or game warden... those handles are super comfortable as is the SAR 3. :)

I have carried a Swamp Rat Rodent Solution for several months in an IWB sheath made by David Brown. It is 8 1/8" OAL and poses no carry issues, I work at a Sawmill and I have never had comfort issues.

When I am not working I prefer open belt carry of my Busse SOB. The SOB is a managable carry size in a package that generally does not draw unwanted attention in public.

I just ordered the Fatback Ergo Defender, upon arrival that will be my new non-work EDC, possibly it might slot into work carry as well if I can get David Brown to make me a sweet IWB set-up.

Been carrying an AMS for several months since I received it. Love the way if fits the hand. Bought one for the wife as well.:D

My edc favs for work are the game warden and sar3.

Another question here, and I didn't want to start another thread. Is it possible to get a hold on a piece of infi for under 200? I really want to try the infi steel with the outstanding reviews it has over the Sr 101, but I have a hard time justifying over 200 dollars.

Some versions of the Game Warden were under $200 from the Company Store back in 2007-2008 and Magnum Bear Cubs were around $167 in 2012, but you[re unlikely to find them for anything near that today. Still, it's possible that we'll see some small INFI blade in that price range in O2W.

I have heard that term multiple times. "o2w" what is that?

Busse's current marketing scheme of releasing one or more knives every Wednesday was dubbed "Operation Two Weeks," or "O2W." That started last August. Before that, they'd typically have one or two models on the website for several months before moving on to the next model.

"Two weeks" is an indeterminate period of time in Busseland that is almost always longer that two weeks. It's the standard response on the forum when someone asks how long until a knife gets delivered. I think O2W was supposed to last "two weeks" in Busse time. It's anyone's guess when that two weeks will end.

If you have XXL hands, then one of the Boss Streets...(most comfortable micarta handled Busse yet...especially the rope cut pattern)

If you have small to medium sized hands, want to save a few bucks and desire a TRUE YEAR-ROUND BOMB PROOF KNIFE, get a Scrapyard Yard Keeper LE (I wish I had smaller hands, because this would still be mine!)
