Been carrying my new Shirogorov 95 w/ Carbon Fiber inlays and S90V blade while I'm down in Texas visiting family!

Still breaking this one in, but it's slowly getting smoother and should be as smooth as my 95T M390...eventually... :D

Man there is more water here in north Texas than there has ever been in my lifetime.
This was someone's yard...

Still gorgeous up here even if it's too muddy to go for a hike

It's a little ridiculous. I think we made up a five-year drought in five weeks. The knife looks good, too. :D

No kidding man! :D
Thankfully most of the homes and towns around us are in okay shape. Amarillo seems to be half-submerged though right now

Last time I was in Texas, in New Braunfels and San Antonio, what would have amounted to "light showers" here at home had city streets under water and flood warnings all over TV and radio. I was driving a rental car from my hotel to Ft. Sam Houston at about 5AM and made it through one especially large, hard-to-see puddle on sheer momentum. A friend of mine who moved down there several years ago said San Antonio will practically shut down from what would be considered a mild thunderstorm in Minnesota.

Anyway . . . been carrying a Kershaw RJI yesterday and today. I love this knife.

Every time I look at my weather radar, I see a storm cloud from Texas heading north east towards me in Illinois. I can officially blame you for all the rain we've had up here :p:D

Yeah further south I have seen that. They get a lot of intermittent showers in some places, especially around Houston, but others, like up here in the Panhandle, don't get the rain very often, and even though we have pretty good drainage here (yes, that's what it looks like with good drainage), other cities definitely don't since they aren't used to much rain.
Every time I see a huge rain coming down here (which is super rare), I know that the cities are going to have way more problems than most of the countryside.

You got that right. I used to live in Chi-town. So I'm spreadin' the love both ways. :p

I know some of you guys are lucky enough to live in places like this, and Florida is beautiful in its own way, but this Smokey mountain trip makes me really jealous of anyone that calls this home.

Great pic!

I'm also a big Umnumzaan fan.

I used to live in Amarillo. I saw some crazy, crazy weather there. Flash floods out of nowhere, snow falling out of a blue sky with a few clouds, lightning hit a tree about 15 feet from me. I miss that place like crazy though. Enjoy Buns Over Texas and Taco Villa, lucky!

Haha we're about an hour north of Amatillo, but we drive there today and my mother forced us to stop at Taco Villa!
I was born in Amarillo, and I totally know what you mean about crazy weather brother!
Of course, we moved to Dallas after that, and then it was just...well, ugh, in terms of weather. As crazy as the Panhandle is, it is still home, even of I'm stick in Kansas officially. ;)

In the car listening to some Atmosphere before I go in.

Damn that Delica blade looks black doesn't it? It's just the satin reacting with the flash I sware!

Got the snubby on Wednesday and finally made a good minimalist holster for it this weekend. Took me forever to make a functional clip for my purposes.
