First post on the forums....been here for about two years now so it's about time:) Have a great day everybody!

Welcome. And nice knife. CQC-8 or Horseman? Can't tell from the pic. I love Emerson's. You should check out the Emerson sub forum.

In reply to Ebidis: Not sure how to reply to your post...so I guess this will have to do for now until I figure it out:D - Thanks for the compliment; it's a Horseman. I've seen your Emerson's before, very nice collection ya' got(: And yeah, I've been lurking around the Emerson sub forum for a while now.

Same here!

I think bone and antler look like nasty scabs. Wood is fragile and finicky. And not a fan of brass as it looks nasty when it patinas.

But a CF traditional, or even better a CF/Ti traditional could get me going.

There is always composite/ delrin/ acrylic. Here's my old camillus with jigged composite covers.

Plus there are countless varieties of dyed/ undyed smooth bone, which in my opinion make some of the most beautiful scales.

Nor me:)
Here's one with that darn finicky, fiddly wood stuff on it!;)

If it wasn't for that freaking cloud shield I would've probabely picked a 73 or 23 up by now. I would love a cocobola with a pen secondary like yours minus that shield, they have produced those with some of the nicest cocobola that I have ever seen.

Pocket clips - not just for knives anymore:

Decided to change it up slightly for a few days.

OK! Please fill us in on what exactly has been done to that beauty? I have one on the way and it should be here tomorrow actually. Thanks in advance!

Congrats on the new GB!

This one was acid etched and stonewashed by Josh at Razor Edge Knives, and then Steve Ketchen of sketchenscales made OD canvas micarta scales with cut outs matching the milling in the liners, and standing flush with the edges, along with a geared, natural G10 backpacker.

It's about half an ounce lighter than the stock GB, too, now.

Do you have a group shot of your GBs?

Osage has never done anything for me. I like the darker woods with really defined thick grain, but I actualy love the hot dog shield.
