EDC V Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Another new arrival, sort of.

I had bought a black handled SERE 2000 a little while ago, and it had a little issue. A very slight amount of lock rock, which I didn't notice at first. Not terrible, but not acceptable to me for a knife which costs just over $200. So anyway, the store where I bought it swapped it out for me with this nice OD green one. This one is as perfect as it gets.

Aside from the slight defect in the first one (hey a fluke, any manufacturer can have one now and then), I am seriously impressed with the level of quality, and f$f with these Al Mar's. They really do blow away a lot of other knives in their price range.

Killer! I likes me some Orange Amps!

They make great stuff! I like a good punchy clean sound and this is delivering. It's just a smaller amp for around the house, but will do nicely. Do you play guitar?

I stole this idea from link2derek, and replaced the black clip on this Endura with polished stainless. I love the orange/stainless combo, and it doesn't have the Halloweeny look of the original orange and black.

Looks awesome, my friend! It's almost "heavenly" in your outstanding photo - LOL!

I've got my LW Manix 2 with me today for some yard work:

Yesssss! Nice one!

Just got home from work + the bar :) , been up since 5am. Gonna watch the new episode of Strike Back and relax, finally. I had these 3 beauties on me, they are now residing on my desk. Changed up the ugly lanyard I had on my ZT to something better. With the deep carry clip I really need something to grab onto when taking the blade out, I mean I don't NEED it, but it helps. So I made a new lanyard. The problem is that the only spot to attach lanyard is exactly where I have mine, which the blade tip comes in very close proximity to. So basically if your lanyard isn't completely tight up against the handle then the paracord can actually stop the blade from opening if the tip is imbedded into the cord. It's odd but it does indeed happen, the style of lanyard I have on the knife now would not be suitable without that blue rubber band I have at the base to tighten it.

I must say though that since I started carrying my Victorinox SAK to work I have been really pleased. I haven't had a real Swiss army knife in years, and all I could remember of them was dull crappy blades from my youth. When I got the tinker pictured below its blsdes came reasonably sharp, I was happy. They're even sharper now after the Sharpmaker. The thing that pleases me the most at the moment is how well the small blade does with cardboard cutting. Had to cut up a few boxes today because I needed some flat layers of card board. The size of the small blade is perfect, it was so much easier to use then my work razor knife.

And of course if any new people want to know how to make these lanyards, you can PM me.... or search youtube, I learned how to do it from watching you tube. It is very easy, so if you don't know and were wondering don't be afraid to ask! All you need it some paracord, available online or at a store like Army Navy, possibly Dicks/Sports Authority too.

Those "noose type" lanyards are pretty cool. I used to use that style a lot. If you threw a simple cobra weave lanyard on there and braided it all the way up the handle, you wouldn't need the rubber band. Nice knives.

Here's one for Blues Bender,
Just picked this up today. Bone handled Case sodbusters in PURPLE HAZE! :D

Holy moley! That's frickin' sweet!!! I typically don't like purple, but that Case looks just right:thumbup:

I changed up my carry when my new light came in:) This thing is bangin'

Yes, I've been playing for 30 years, give or take a few months.

Thanks, I'm not big on purple either, but I thought this looked pretty unique. When I saw that they called the color purple haze, well you know I had to buy it. LOL

The new light looks great. Is that brass? How about some details?

Yea, the texture and contrast of the stag really brings the term "purple haze" to life:)

Yep, I'm giving some brass a try! This is a TnC flashlight, specifically the Ultra-Lux 18350, with triple Nichia 219B LEDs. The quality of this light is amazing! Best flashlight I've handled.
