Had a chance to hit my knives with some radiation today :hurra:Alloy XRF machines are awesome! So more knives were carried then needed.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does that do?

I've been carrying this Zaan' for the last few days. I might have a new knife in the mailbox today or tomorrow! I'll be happier than a drunk trapped in a whiskey barrel when I get that knife:)

Is that Tritium at the lanyard pin? If yes, is that available for a Sebenza too? It looks awesome :)

Some marketing:

Whether you're interested in geochemical analysis for mining and exploration or alloy verfication for quality control, performing precious metal testing to confirm purity and karat weight or compliance testing to meet regulatory requirements - or if you're just curious to learn more about x-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy - look no further. Here's an introduction to the physics, technology, and the algorithms that make XRF a robust, versatile, and easy-to-use elemental analysis tool

Handheld XRF Industries and applications are very diverse; some examples include:

Metal Analysis
Scrap Sorting
Positive Material Identification
Mining & Exploration
Environmental & Soil Screening
Restricted materials in consumer products
Art & Archeometry
Research and Teaching
More HHXRF applications

In short. It can be used to identify unknown steel alloys amongst other things.

Yes, it's something I came up with. It's (1) 4x10mm tritium vial with (3) 8g GITD O-rings put around it. These fit on a Large Sebenza too, but I'm not sure about the Small's.

The only problem, is finding 4x10mm tritium vials; they're like hens teeth. I actually gave one to SadSappySucker, and he has it on his Large 21.

If you find some 4x10's let me know, because I've been on the hunt for a while now.

Here's a thread I started on it in the CRK forum:

I've got one coming in the mail tomorrow too man!

Ended up trading my Shirogorov 95CF for one of Sergey Rogovets' Model 13's. I have been really interested in one of these for a very long time, so I'm very excited to finally get one, even if if isn't maybe as good as a Hoback A15 ;)
And hey, who knows, it might be just as good...maybe?

What have you got on the way man?! :D

So you're not getting a Hoback now? Or are you getting both the 13 and a Hoback? That's a lot of dough my friend:) I can't wait to see some good pics of that 13!

I posted a pic of these pics (haha) the other day. I have an inter-frame from Mike Alsdorf on its way to me. These pics are the exact knife I'm getting. Mike was really great to work with, and he did a great job making my vision a reality. I can't wait to get this one in hand!

This one has Black-Lip pearl embellishments, and I feel it really is approaching the "Art-Knife" category. It's entirely different from the rest of my collection, and that's why I'm so excited.

Hey, Hertz. Cool photo!

You wouldn't happen to be using a Sony RX-100, would you?

Something about the look of the image reminds me of photos from that camera.
Thanks for the compliment. I really should get a "real" camera as I've been told many times that I have an eye for capturing things. For now I'm just using the camera on my LG G3.
