I finally got this in the mail today, and I am absolutely blown away! This knife has the best fit & finish I've ever seen, it is absolutely an art-grade knife. To be honest, I don't even want to post these pics, because they do not do any justice to the beauty of the black-lip pearl inlays. The inlays are presentation-grade pearl, and there is so much depth and color it is mind blowing. These pics don't show the depth and color that is realized in person.

There is not a single flaw I can find; Mike pays such close attention to detail, it's almost ridiculous. These inlays are so clean, I can't believe that they aren't part of the metal itself. There are no gaps around the inlays whatsoever. The backspring is fit so perfectly, that it appears to be an integral (yet it's not).

If you want a knife that will be the epitome of perfect fit & finish, look no further than Mike Alsdorf. Give him a call, he really makes one hell-of-a-knife:thumbup:

I'm truly shocked that Mike isn't popular around here. I'm also shocked that his knives sell for under $1,000 (this example was around $300). Again, his work is so clean, it is just unbelievable.

I'm just going to say that I officially have a problem now because of you!!!
Any and all purchases from this point on that have the name Alsdorf on them are going to be YOUR FAULT!! Along with the ones that say Dunlap...and in pretty sure you're going to be seeing several of those names a bit too much in my collection in a few months...damnit

As for me, I'm carrying light today until the #13 gets here, but I might have to wait until 5:00 to get it because I'm out of the office for most of today

Figured the Balck and White would work with the all-traditional carry. Don't know why I was so worried about having 1095 anymore. I'm so obsessed with finger prints that blade will never even have a spot of patina on it
