I don't drive a Prius, nor do I hug trees... I'm a construction worker, so destroying land is sort of my forte:thumbup:

Well yeah...but we don't enjoy it, it's just a nesecreary evil. Actually as I get older it bothers me much more than it used too.

Knife related, carrying my new medford 187f. Pleasantly surprised with this one, very snappy action, and extremely smooth.

Scales are mother of pearl.

You have a Chinese made knife in 8cr handled in spectacular mother of pearl? That's a rather unique combination but it does make a very classy looking and i'm sure a very effective knife.

I just couldn't let that stand at all. I love gestures like that, and to insult what you did like that is never an okay thing to do.

I really can't imagine anyone having an issue with the carvings. There are some places I have seen that were full of them, and it was more of an attraction for the place than anything else.
Maybe it is a southern thing. I was born in Amarillo and grew up in Dallas, and I saw dozens of parks with the same done when I was a kid. Even here in Kansas, it isn't that odd to see some of them in the local parks, though more on trees than the benches.
I have a tree out in a nice clearing not far from my old house where my girlfreind and I did the same. Could still find it with my eyes closed after 4 years if I had to ;)
I actually enjoy seeing it. Especially when there's dates on them. I've seen writing on the side of an old bridge from the early 40's. Made my day.

^^^Love the chalk line. Watch those 2 guys because job sites can get crazy sometimes!

I carry a Sebenza in a large factory. 185 Decibels, so if it ever got lost, it would be SUPER hard to get it back when you can't even hear yourself think. :)
I wouldn't be able to ask around.
I check on it every 5 seconds. :D
Some may ask: "then why carry it?"
"I don't know how to breathe properly without it."

I actually don't drive a car. And yes, I feel pretty great being me. Thank you for asking.
Now, if all the old ladies are quite through, can we get back to pictures of EDCs?
By the way pal, feel free to send me an email as well and we can have a nice chat about it.

I quite agree with you there, my friend. I've just decided at this point to let it go. If it needs more discussion of any kind, it will happen. Either way, the people who have their opinions all know where they stand on it, and that's not really going to change it seems.

And I second this as well. I hate cars like the Prius. Ugly, pointless, and they don't fulfill their purpose. Just do some digging into how much pollutant is produced making those batteries for the hybrid models and it pretty much nullifies whatever good they might do in their very short lifespan before those same batteries die and cut the car's durable let life short.

I drive a mustang, which I bought with my own money more than 4 years ago, and I have loved every single day I get in my car to go anywhere and everywhere. Much better than sitting in a damn Prius, that's for sure. Those things are probably the worst cars to drive I've ever seen in my entire life.

Now, I won't disagree with this either, and I'm not very old yet...I hope? ;)

While I agree more should be done in any different categories to try and minimize our damage to the planet, I also don't like arbitrary and downright counter-productive devices like hybrids when they aren't produced in an environmentally safe method, but are labeled as more Eco-friendly. Not only that, but honestly until you make a hybrid or something that is actually fun to drive, you can count me out. I do way too much driving in my life to have it be one more thing I waste my life on in discomfort and without being able to have some fun.

I agree with you. They are a refreshing reminder of the people who have been together long before us and will be together long after us at the same time, and there really aren't many of those to see anymore.

Never seen one that old though. Would be a treat to see something like that :)

...and sorry, tried to consolidate posts, but messed up and ended up with three of them. I hit the wrong button, and didn't realize it until it was too late.
