I know 8cr13 doesn't get much love, but I've not been disappointed with this AG Reverse Congress.

I've had plenty of knives in 8Cr, and it gets the job done. All that matters, bud :thumbup:

That's a nice looking knife. Is the handle some kind of acrylic or what?
 
The topic of carving initials on items and how divisive it is is from a cultural perspective is fascinating. I can see both angles, seem to remember doing something similar when I was young.... In the UK we have trees that have initials carved from 1700 nearby, so nothing new.

On the other hand I work as a Ranger in a National Park over here and get pretty pissed when property I have worked hard to get funding for and install gets defaced.... Worse than than that, someone carved a heart with them and their girls initials on two trees using a chainsaw! Both those trees will struggle to survive which is a real shame.

Mostly, given how popular this thread is I'm surprised a Mod hasn't calmed this down. Both opinions have validity, but not here...!!

And why would we need a Mod to come calm us down? I think everyone's chilled out a bit.

As for the trees with carvings from 1700, that's insane and I find it very interesting how the initials have held up!

I hope so:)

Yes it is pretty amazing. I think what you are looking at is an imprint from the original carving as new layers of bark are formed, a bit like brass rubbings.

I figure that's a good thing right, we must be getting closer to our completely ideal carry, and then we will never have to buy another knife :D :rolleyes: as if that would happen haha.

I bet he's got a great spotless, scratchless paint job on his car down there in Houston. He'd go mall ninja on someone who wrote his and his girls initials on the hood in the 1/8" thick dust accumulated on it after a dry spell.

I actually don't drive a car. And yes, I feel pretty great being me. Thank you for asking.
Now, if all the old ladies are quite through, can we get back to pictures of EDCs?

Sadly I cannot take credit for that mod. Aside from the clip, I picked this one up here on the forums like that. I much prefer the deep carry clip and even though it only has one screw holding it I have yet to have it slip (probably will now haha). The RAM has seen quite a bit of use and it still is my favorite flipper. The Launch is quickly working it's way up my list of favorites though.
 
Just finished the second leg of my journey to California. Started early this morning and drove all day. Got a motel room in La Rosa New Mexico. This is what I'm sporting today, still liking this new to me strider. In a little while I'm going to go check out the restaurant next-door. Tomorrow or Friday I hope to get some pictures at the Grand Canyon.
