This trio for today.

I almost pulled the trigger on one of those the other day... Same exact knife, copper and all...

The only thing that stopped me was the sub-framelock and lack of liners. Sweet knife though!

Yeah, I'm liking it a lot so far. Not use to having such I light knife though. I'm afraid I won't notice if I drop it.

There were friggin snowflakes hitting the ground today here.

Ok, not trying to be a hater but, something about seeing THAT knife next to THOSE lights[emoji32] ...... like wearing a thousand dollar suit and Wal-Mart shoes.. [emoji57] just saying..lol

SOG for yard work, cut down some of my 7' tall Sunflowers that would have frozen tomorrow night. 710 and Tremor for EDC at different times in the day. 3" Lime cutter for, well, cutting limes!

Then again I'm ALMOST as much of a flashlight nerd as I am a knife knut.. [emoji106]

I hear ya.:D But I've had $100 flashlights that I've liked less than these $3 ones. I've drop one underwater (lake)and it still works, they don't get hot, good brightness out to 30ft and as said $3! They do what I need them too. Almost all my money gets tied up in knives so don't have much to spend on anything else.:D By no means have any idea what's out there in the light world and what makes one better over the other but, for $3 these are some pretty dam good flashlights for your average person. I have a dozen of them I bet I like them so much. I'm impressed with them. Though I'm sure if you showed me what you thought is impressive in a light would be blown away. I just haven't gotten

I have 12 of them scattered throughout the house, our cars and bags. Good little lights I'm not afraid of lending out or leavingsomewhere

Phone died. How much $ you spend on a light and what kinds of lights do you got? What do they do that these dont? I mean besides being brighter out to little further distances are brighter? I guess it's 5he same with blades "oh you could do more or less the same thing with cheaper knife" what have you. I don't know much about lights but have had $100-150 lights pass through my hands and I wasn't very impressed. One was a surefire, other was fenix. They got very hot and didnt get that much brighter or shine that much further than these.I don't understand dishing out that kind of $ for something that I can get something similar for $3. But like with anything else everybody has those things they just gotta have and has to be "perfection". That's knives for me. Even though plenty I have would some still not consider "good" either. I ate beans and hotdogs for dinner. I'm just living the dream:rolleyes: All ive really got is a pile of knives and a few guns (oh and a new outdated SG4 that im happy with) If you got a pic of what a more expensive light can do over these would like to see. Or maybe not. Might have another material addiction and won't have dough for tobbacer and beans.

A good flashlight should have good machining, good function and ergonomics, sophisticated-yet-simple electronics, a McClicky switch, it should be water proof, shock resistant, feature a good led such as a Nichia 219.

It should put out a good balance of throw and flood: too much throw and you'll get a narrow hotspot, and too much flood you don't get any distance (throw). It should have multiple brightness settings: low, medium, high and low should be able to be used in the dark without blinding yourself. Medium should be more than enough light for nearly any task. High should make you say "Holy Sh*t That's Bright!".

Shock resistance should mean being dropped off a 10ft ladder onto a concrete slab and still work perfectly fine. Waterproof should mean you can drop it 3ft deep into water and still work perfectly fine.

All this describes the TnC flashlight I posted above. It's the best, toughest, brightest (and dimmest), sexiest light I've ever had the pleasure of using. Again, everyone should own a TnC light.

I feel like most of my $20-50 lights (nebo, Felix etc) could handle all of that.

Maybe! It's like saying a $20-50 folder will do the same things as a Sebenza. While that statement is true in many ways, it is also false in many other ways;)
