Even for quick stropping I use a very fine ceramic stone.

Here's a closeup of the new edge, not a total mirror, but I always leave them just a little bit toothy.

Nice work:)

I use stones to sharpen my axes, very theraputic. The only real advantage with the mousemat is that its give creates a constant convex bevel without having to use circular motions. But if you're enjoying them then why stop?:)
