Not the best picture, but I had this one waiting one me when I got home today, so in the pocket it goes. Definitely one of my all time favorite designs. I actually prefer it to my Terzuola Starfighter.

MAILCALL!!!!!!!
Wonder what it could be?! :D

Well, after frantically tearing off all of the bubble wrap, I found a very nice little calf-skin pouch and a card I have been waiting to see for several weeks now ;)

And look what we have here! My Back Pocket Trapper!!!
CPM-154 blade and spring, half-stop, absolutely perfect fit and finish and the best walk and talk I have ever felt, with a nice and strong spring pull of about 7-8, which I honestly prefer on later slip-joints like this. Cannot be happier with this!

And it looks very good next to my Diskin Fire ;) :D
Carbon Fiber Friday is here, folks!! :D

Ohhhh man!!!

I'm so happy for you right now, because I know exactly what it's like to get a package like that in the mail:)

I'm really glad you have Jim a try; he doesn't get the attention he deserves!!!

Oh I know you do ;)
i decided to get mine without the shield on it so that the marble cf would be the main player in the whole knife, and the excentuated recurve was all Jim ;)

He really should get more attention in my opinion as well. Although I will say that if he still is taking orders in a few months and isn't completely overworked I might have to get another one or two from him if he lets me :D
For now, this is the king of my collection in many respects, though I would say there are a couple of others I have that are still just a hair ahead of it...for now ;)

Thanks so much for turning me on to Jim's work brother! And congrats on the new truck too man! I love a good ol' F150. Never had an easier vehichle to work on than one of those except my Mustang. Great trucks all-around.

that's gorgeous! Congrats!

Thanks man! The pictures really can't do this knife true justice though, I swear.

Hot damn! Looks like everyone is really making a conscious effort to step up their photo game.

I had my Link yesterday. Hadn't carried it in a bit. I can't remember why

Mine has a recurve too. It's kind of a pain to sharpen, but it's the best cutting knife I own.

Slip joints are "un-tacticool" so I don't see Jim's books filling up anytime soon. Perhaps a year wait is the most I can predict, but what do I know:rolleyes: My BPT in MCF is still one of my favorites, if not my all-time favorite... I'm just still on my honeymoon with Good Ol' Rocky for right now;) And Rocky rides in a belt sheath like my BPT does, so every morning is a fight between the two:D

I'm glad I could help, and thanks for the congrats Brother!

Also, I agree that pics cannot do a marble carbon fiber back-pocket trapper any justice! The beauty must be seen in person!

2 collaboration knives, 3 makers = an awesome Friday mail call!! [emoji16]

I just ove the swaying lines of this blade a lot, though yeah, I imagine sharpening won't be the easiest thing in the world, but hey, I don't mind for this wickedly perfect blade. The satin finish on it is absolutely breathtaking too.

I'm glad to see your Rockstead getting plenty of love for sure, but you should try and get both the Higo and the BPT on you one day. I bet you it would be an EDC match made in heaven with both of those classy blades :D

I still think Jim should be able to get more work and a bigger following that he has right now. Although, when I originally spoke to him, he did say that he was getting more busy, thus the sort of longer wait on my knife.
I think that there is still a pretty large market for the traditional knives, though it is pretty obvious that most of us tend to be more inclined to the "tactical" knife theme. I have always had a very big appreciation to traditional knives though. Never really had the mind to look for one until I saw that marble cf on yours for the first time though ;)

Now that I have gotten a taste for the traditional customs, I fear I might have put my wallet in even more danger haha :D

And if I ever end up in your neck of the woods, we need to make sure we can get together for a drink and get a chance to see what each of them looks like in real life to make sure we can both do them justice haha :D
Don't normally drink, but I am more than willing to have a wiskey or two with you given the chance, brother ;)

Man those are some VERY nice scores man! This is one hell of a Friday mailcall for everyone!!

NICE!!!

Thank you man!
Wonderful picture as always btw. Wish my pictures came out as good as yours do man!
I love that gunstock with the modified pen blade. And that John Arnold is just always going to make me jealous ;)

If you and a couple others here (you know who you all are) keep fueling my growing desire for traditionals, then I'm going to have to have a long chat with you guys about being responsible with your knife porn ;) :D

Ok, now this is getting weird....this beauty was in my mailbox today! Upgraded version of one of my favorite knives of the last 3 years, this one is perfect for carbon fiber friday.

Suck at taking pictures. This picture does not do this knife justice. I got a brown pouch. Carbon fiber shadow trapper with red g-10. Same one blues has lol.

My contribution to CF Friday. Helped a good friend move (away :( ) today, so this guy got lots of time cutting the weirdest stuff.
