MAILCALL!!!!!!!
Wonder what it could be?!
Well, after frantically tearing off all of the bubble wrap, I found a very nice little calf-skin pouch and a card I have been waiting to see for several weeks now
And look what we have here! My Back Pocket Trapper!!!
CPM-154 blade and spring, half-stop, absolutely perfect fit and finish and the best walk and talk I have ever felt, with a nice and strong spring pull of about 7-8, which I honestly prefer on later slip-joints like this. Cannot be happier with this!
And it looks very good next to my Diskin Fire![]()
Carbon Fiber Friday is here, folks!!

Ohhhh man!!!
I'm so happy for you right now, because I know exactly what it's like to get a package like that in the mail
I'm really glad you have Jim a try; he doesn't get the attention he deserves!!!
that's gorgeous! Congrats!
Oh I know you do
i decided to get mine without the shield on it so that the marble cf would be the main player in the whole knife, and the excentuated recurve was all Jim
He really should get more attention in my opinion as well. Although I will say that if he still is taking orders in a few months and isn't completely overworked I might have to get another one or two from him if he lets me
For now, this is the king of my collection in many respects, though I would say there are a couple of others I have that are still just a hair ahead of it...for now
Thanks so much for turning me on to Jim's work brother! And congrats on the new truck too man! I love a good ol' F150. Never had an easier vehichle to work on than one of those except my Mustang. Great trucks all-around.
Thanks man! The pictures really can't do this knife true justice though, I swear.
Mine has a recurve too. It's kind of a pain to sharpen, but it's the best cutting knife I own.
Slip joints are "un-tacticool" so I don't see Jim's books filling up anytime soon. Perhaps a year wait is the most I can predict, but what do I knowMy BPT in MCF is still one of my favorites, if not my all-time favorite... I'm just still on my honeymoon with Good Ol' Rocky for right now
And Rocky rides in a belt sheath like my BPT does, so every morning is a fight between the two
I'm glad I could help, and thanks for the congrats Brother!
Also, I agree that pics cannot do a marble carbon fiber back-pocket trapper any justice! The beauty must be seen in person!
