Get the Orange Cutter brother you'll love it...mines a mini maniac slicer...it may be small bit it handled tough furniture cardboard box breakdown duties all day today. Not even a touch up required:cool::thumbup:

Now lookin at what's coverin hip duty today...I see fear in bigger produce such as Grapefruit with that bad boy:D

Have a great weekend brother;)
Thank you Paul! I will definitely try to enjoy the weekend despite an abundance of honey do's! (Ugh, dreading some of it)
My Ratmandu pulled tree trimming duty earlier, and sliced up vegetables, sausage, and chicken for gumbo later in the day.
The Orange Cutter shall be mine... Oh yes, it shall be mine. :)
All my best to you and yours Paul. Have a great weekend brother!

I just ove the swaying lines of this blade a lot, though yeah, I imagine sharpening won't be the easiest thing in the world, but hey, I don't mind for this wickedly perfect blade. The satin finish on it is absolutely breathtaking too.

I'm glad to see your Rockstead getting plenty of love for sure, but you should try and get both the Higo and the BPT on you one day. I bet you it would be an EDC match made in heaven with both of those classy blades :D

I still think Jim should be able to get more work and a bigger following that he has right now. Although, when I originally spoke to him, he did say that he was getting more busy, thus the sort of longer wait on my knife.
I think that there is still a pretty large market for the traditional knives, though it is pretty obvious that most of us tend to be more inclined to the "tactical" knife theme. I have always had a very big appreciation to traditional knives though. Never really had the mind to look for one until I saw that marble cf on yours for the first time though ;)

Now that I have gotten a taste for the traditional customs, I fear I might have put my wallet in even more danger haha :D

And if I ever end up in your neck of the woods, we need to make sure we can get together for a drink and get a chance to see what each of them looks like in real life to make sure we can both do them justice haha :D
Don't normally drink, but I am more than willing to have a wiskey or two with you given the chance, brother ;)

At your request:)

These two are definitely a great pair (especially when I steal David's signature photo technique;):p)

I'd definitely enjoy a drink with you too Brother! I'll raise my glass to you later on tonight:D I have some German Bier that need to be finished, haha!

And a quick note about sharpening that BPT: try free-handing with a ceramic rod like the SharpMaker comes with:thumbup: The medium stones actually leave a really nice edge on Jim's 154, the white stones don't seem to give any "bite" to the edge.

Gareth Bull Shamwari

Yep! And a really nice one, at that! I would love to see the other side of the scales.

Very nice :D

Love that combo man! My favorite one with the BPT so far seems to be my Diskin Fire. Got those two again today, but can't take a pic yet in Target. The people working the fitting rooms waiting area might get some big eyes ;) :D

Thank you brother! I was having a glass last night in fact if you didn't see that one ;)
Great thing about these Dunlaps is how beautiful they are in any situation, from EDC to a nice dress carry.

And thanks for the advice on the BPT. I will have to give that a try for myself and see how it works out. I love how easy CPM-154 takes and holds a nice medium edge. Wish more of the "common" slip joints used steels like CPM-154 or ATS-34. Even a well-done 154CM would be awesome. Just not a huge fan of carbon steels. I like my blades to stay shiny ;)
