  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

EDC - What's In Your Pocket(s)??? Part 2

Stormdrane, would you care to tell what knot this is on your lanyard. Looks great.

To create the closed loop paracord wrist lanyard, I doubled up an 'Arms Akimbo' knot (from 'The Directory of Knots' by John Shaw), a knot that is usually tied along the length of a single strand of cord, taking care to keep the cords aligned and from overlapping/twisting as it was tightened up.

For the small knot in red, I used 1.4mm cord to tie the 10 part 8 bight 2 pass type 2 pineapple knot. I gave it coats of brush on krazy glue, inside and out, so that it can serve as a sliding lanyard bead, for adjustment of the paracord wrist lanyard. That knot is shown in Tom Hall's book, 'Introduction to Turk's-Head Knots'. :)
