EDC - What's In Your Pocket(s)??? Part 2

how do you like that kimber ultra carry? how many rounds have you put through it? any reliability issues?

I really like the looks of them and have thought about it a bit, but so far have been unable to commit.

I've put about 1000 rounds through it. When I bought it, I was told by the shop owner that they break in around 500. I initially had some issues with feeding hollow points reliably into the chamber. They would tend to catch the top of the barrel as they were moving from the mag to the chamber. It doesn't happen with HPs now but rarely I'll get a jam. But if I use FMJs, never once had a failure.

I have 2 Kimbers (the other is a Custom II Warrior) both are great guns but needed broken in. Over all, I love the gun. It fills exactly the role that I want. A .45 cal, 1911 style gun that is comfortable/flexable to carry(25oz unloaded). I can put it in the holster pictured or my Galco Classic Lite Shoulder system. I would recommend it if asked. My main issue is the price and availability of the .45.

Good luck in your purchase!

I wonder if your knife of choise is based on your possible job as medic?
That rock lobster has some rescue knife characteristics.

Nope :) I carry a Leatherman at work. The Rock Lobster is just one of my favorite Spyderco knives.

I left my keychain out of the picture by accident. On it, I have a Leatherman Micra and a mini L.E.D. light. The Micra is probably my most-used item.

Really nice watch there. Very clean looking.

Thanks, CM. I like it a lot.

I considered the Planet Ocean for a few months but the Rolex Sea Dweller won out in the end. This is a pic of what Mrs. CM and I wear. This is my only watch.
