Thank you for the invitation amigo, no doubts it's beautiful but hearing about the recent murders by drug cartels in Mexico, I really have no plans on visiting it in the near future. The worse part is that Americans can't legally bring any guns across the border to defend themselves, so unless you are willing to escort me with your sub machine gun and hand grenades, no thank you :)

The gun laws suck down hear. But San Miguel is filed whit Americans, a lot of them are spending their retirement hear. Almost O crime in this small town. Its not that bad en parts of Mexico. The border towns to the east are the worst now.

If ever you won't to do a little traveling you really could not go wrong whit visiting San
Miguel, you will fall in love whit the place. I'm planing on buying a house down hear one day. Didn't find the need to carry more than my glock and 511 karambit folder in town.

My girlfriend goes to Mexico all the time as part of her work, it's pretty chill if you're not hanging around boarder towns and you have a few contacts. A good friend of ours is from near Guanajuato!

Suburban EDC with a focus on small and useful tools. The 5.11 pouch and the flag are for decoration only. Everything else goes in the pockets or is clipped. Phone not pictured.

Thanks :D, I will keep in mind in case if I visit my old folks in San Diego and decide to go down across the border.

My fiancée lives in San Diego. Give me a heads up and well take you to Puerto Nuevo for some lobster and to the Guadalupe valley so you can get to know the verities of wine Baja makes.

Just an FYI, but I continue to follow this thread if nothing else, to see what Edwood posts. I want to visit Mexico and meet up just to say "hello" (and my wife probably wouldn't mind either). That being said, I enjoy all the participants' postings.

In the spirit of this thread, I have on me today a BB 9650, Citizen Skyhawk, Fenix FD20 and Spyderco Chicago (and most days).

Regards,

Rich

How do you like that PD31? I have considered grabbing one while I still can, I do like my PD20 for EDC.

Regards,

Rich

It's perfect for my edc. I got it in exchange for LD20 that I was not very happy with due to its longer length. It still runs on a first charge of 18650 battery. I like the brightness modes especially the low one that is very useful for close up work and the turbo that is unbelievably bright for the size of the light. The tint is not bad; it’s less blue than the LD20 that also had an R5 led.

The gun laws suck down here...

Ditto to that... I really wish I could get a permit to carry around at least a revolver or something... But us common law abiding citizens are severely enforced to going bare hands; while criminals use even grenades to just rob a convenience store... it's ridiculous !

BTW... I live in Monterrey.

Pace !
