Yesterday's post has come to fruition. UPS did not say my address was nonexistant and delivered my package a few hours ago. I've put up my Kershaw Tyrade and my Strider AR after two months of carry and replaced them with the ZT0500 MUDD. Having had one previously I can say that it is a great piece of work and falls right in with the other ZT offerings as being a great value. You certaintly get more knife with your money when you purchase a ZT! My other knife, Case Barlow, has also been put up so that I can carry my very first Boker Subcom series knife, the Wharcom. I can already tell you that fit/finish is excellent, as is the lockup. This is a great little knife for less than $30.00! I really like how it lies so flat in my pocket, even with clip still on it. I will leave the clip in place because it helps me to get a little bit more hold on the knife. My last new edc is an Olight T-10 that is also a great value.

All told I got three new edc's today and all three have turned out to be great. Two out of 3 ain't bad, but three out of 3 is even better!!:D;)

I'm in a transitional phase at the moment so i don't have a clue as to what to carry. I moved back to a small town so my EDC should change.

In the city it was a tapered aluminum Kubotan with my apartment and room key, a Buck 55, lighter, wallet etc...

I still carry the Kubotan but i always need a flashlight here. I've been thinking of switching to my mini Maglite until my old roomate pays up some cash he owes me, at which time i'll be getting a Surefire E2D (best of both worlds). I'll have to re-think my whole keychain and i think i'm overdue for a new knife too, but it'll be tough to pick just one.

Pics when i get my E2D and when my camera is un-packed... lots of pics, i promise. :)

I use a maglite Solitaire. Fits on the keyring. I find it's as much light as I usually need. I use it a lot when fiddling with cables in the back of a computer or TV. I also use it outside at night. I find it gives me enough light to use, it's US made, and it's inexpensive.

my 2¢

I used to have one of those on my keys, i can't recall for the life of me where it went but it wasn't quite bright enough for me. I think i'll be satisfied rotating between a Surefire and a Mini Mag for belt carry and putting together a simple keychain with one of my small SAK's or my Micra.

You owe it to yourself to try a Fenix P3D. I used to carry a Surefire E2E but picked up a Fenix from Gary Moore over a year ago and won't look at another Surefire again. The (surefire) batteries last 10x longer in the fenix than they do in a surefire and my fenix will blow my sf's out of the water lumen wize. Plus, IIRC the fenix is around half the price of the comparable SFs. YMMV.

Everything that you've said is correct and probably the smart choice, but for me it's still the 'made in china' thing. ............I know, I know...not the smart choice. It's just me. Lots of good things said about those Fenixes (sp?).

What's in my pocket today, a Protech TR3 auto. If I leave the house, I'll switch to my Benchmade DejaVoo.

BM Osbourne red and black swirl handle and black blade I bought a few years ago. Leatherman Wave. Novatac 120p. Custom Springfield champion .45.:D
