Kershaw's ZDP-189 Composite Blade Shallot. I did some parts swapping on it, and changed the handle with one from a black Shallot.

Actually, I have a Lamy Joy calligraphy pen and the nib section, lower part where the cartridge attaches to the pen (no idea what it's called), I just found out can be connected to the Safari bodies. Very cool.

I use FP's on a regular basis, and although my handwriting isn't stellar, it made one of my co-workers remark "you know, you could probably forge the Declaration of Independence with the way you write". What a great idea, I thought...

quattrokid:

It is actually smooth and free flowing, although I don't use it on a regular basis because sometimes it can be too broad for everyday writing. Apart from my Lamy Joy, this is the broadest FP I have, all the rest are medium. Haven't tried Fine or even Extra Fine nibs though.

Ah, there ya go. Rotring makes one like the Joy also. I believe it's called the Art pen. Yeah pens are stiff competitors to my knife addiction. Just finishing some wedding invitations this evening...a little side work ;) .

Wow, 1 post in 3 years  you could have given good 'ole Tuvold a run for his money if you would have kept your vow of silence :D.
I suppose we all start somewhere... eventually:o Figured I would stop being a leacher and start being a contributor.

Please excuse the poor photo quality, I need to find the time to make a decent light box...

After many years of carrying aluminum handled Swiss Army Knives, I searched through many knife makers new offerings of locking single blade knives. I settled on Kershaw's Ken Onion Leek. I have four of them, the latest one is the 1660CB (composite blade?). The D2 edge stays sharp and is easy to sharpen. And the composite blade looks cool.
Ever since reading about the new knife alloys on various websites I have made a concerted effort to collect them all and try them out. Latest acquisition is a Busse Satin Jack.

Welcome SawyerSam!

Thanks:D I find it gives me more purchase that way. Since I've realized I don't practically have a use for the strobe and SOS feature I'm looking at upgrading. Probably a NiteCore.

today was a spyderco tenacious, a boker wharcom, wallet, keys, chapstick, cell phone, skoal can

Wow, that's shockingly close to what I'm carrying today, ha.

Tenacious, Burts Bees, Wallet, Samsung Alias, and a tin of Skoal Straight.

And of course, my G-Shock for casual Friday.
