.. This hand made custom Kerry Hampton KH-BP 4'' inch in the closed position, Trapper pattern landed in the PO Box yesterday and is just the PERFECT pocket knife.

I just broke her in on a small covey of Bob White Quail and one lone rather large fat Cotton Tail. :thumbup:

Thanks Chris, actually I had him use 52100 ball bearing steal which is one of my all time favorite steels for taking and holding a real good hard use cutting edge in the field. As you may already know 52100 possesses a hi-carbon content as well as other corrosives and Kerry suggested he do a 'ferric chloride' etch which helps give a nice protective coating to stave off corrosion as I enjoy hunting, fishing, frog gigging and lots of other outdoors activities in the swamps of Florida and the southeast in general. I agreed with his assessment and the result looked aesthetically pleasing and now looks like the bluing appearance the steel took on.. Cool huh?? .. Kerry has been studying under Tony Bose and really blew the doors off of this project!. I cannot tell you how very happy I am with the result!!
