EDC - What's in Your Pocket(s)??

I wear my pants pretty oversized, and still there is no way I could manage a baby Glock in a front pocket.

I conceal my Glock 30SF .45 in my right front pants pocket:D

The thing is though, I'm 6 feet 6 inches tall and weigh 340lbs. It helps.

I'll see if I can rustle up some pics.

At work, my usual loadout is a Sig P226R w/ ITI M6 in a safariland 6280, two spare 12 rounders, two pairs of cuffs (S&W hinged, Peerless chain), 26" ASP, an extremely bright Cree R2-bin LED 2xCR123-powered Solarforce flashlight that I put together (surefire 6PD clone w/ crenellated strike bezel), Sabre Red MKIV OC, gerber multitool (being replaced with a SOG EOD soon), and a motorola 800mHz brick. My Kershaw Cyclone rides in my right front cargo pocket, and my Tencious has a seat in my ballistic vest carrier as a backup.

Off duty, I usually take the spydie and leave the Cyclone, as it's a little more manageable as an EDC (takes up less pocket real estate). I'm going to see if I can find a mini-Cyclone Ti/ZDP at some point though and give it a try. Don't pack much off duty since I just sold my Glock 22, but I'll probably be picking up a Sig P239 as my new carry piece as soon as I scrape together the funds.

How do you access that while sitting?

A wild frantic grab for the trigger through the pants pocket, hoping like crazy that the safety is off and that you can make a clean shot through or under the desk, while the perp aims with a clean shot :D:D

I'm 6'4"(but skinny) and depending on my pants it carries just fine. My dad(retired cop) who gave me the pistol, and knows that I usually carry, thought he caught me unarmed...until I said "I am except for this" and produced the Glock. Needless to say his face told me he is regretting giving it up three years ago.

There's no manual safety to turn off. The drawback of the pocket holster is the slower presentation, and restricted access while seated. The big positive is that I can have a good grip on the pistol and be ready to draw, and no one would realize what I'm doing. For example I stop at a gas station to grab a drink and am in line behind a sketchy looking guy. It appears that I am just getting my wallet to pay, when actually I can be ready to react without telegraphing my move. Like any other form of self defense, being aware of your surrounding is very important.

When not at school or in the air I carry the following:
1) Strider SMF CC in black G10
2) Kershaw Skyline (In back pocket, good backup to have)
3) Victorinox SAK (Lots of features)
4) Blackberry Pearl
5) Pilot pen
6)Maxpedition SPARTAN Wallet

When I turn 21 (Only 18 at the time) Add a Sig 226 to that setup and you have my EDC.

**Note: This list is subject to several thousand experimental changes daily ;)

Bingo! I can get to it while seated but it is a little finicky. Oh, I forgot to mention: I do carry it in a holster...one of those soft Unkle Mikes IWB holsters with the clip cut down to about one inch in length...just enough to hook on the pocket and keep the rig from slipping down too deep in the pocket.

Robert:)

Did some riding today and this is what I had.

Nice.
What are the knife laws like over in japan, pretty lenient?

I thought they were actually fairly strict. When I was looking into getting swords made from Japan there was a lot of procedure and paperwork to go through.
