EDC - What's in Your Pocket(s)??

I thought they were actually fairly strict. When I was looking into getting swords made from Japan there was a lot of procedure and paperwork to go through.
I know Japan is especially strict about exporting swords and other edged weapons for cultural reasons. There was a lot of national angst over the number of heirloom swords that were lost to American GIs during WWII (lots of those "trophy" swords were just mass produced army issue, but a supprising number of them were family antique blades remounted with contemporary handles and scabards)
 
Could I kindly ask that if you post a photo, you list the items by name. Several times I see something that peaks my attention and I hate asking everytime "Wow, what is that, what brand is that, what model is that..." It's just because you all carry such interesting items....thanks :D

Agreed! I think it should become standard operating procedure to list items shown in any posted pics.:)

since i am at home in my apartment today, i have jsut my kershaw ram and cell phone in my pocket, my wallet and keys are on the desk next to me.

Today...a Ty Montell custom Trapper (Blue Ti bolsters, spacers, filework, ivory, & 440C equal length blades), Spyderco P'Kal, G.H. Bass $ clip, wallet, keys, & Kel-Tec P-32 in a Desantis leather wallet holster.

I think he meant knife carrying laws. Of which I hear are almost completely unrestricted, and left to social norms as much of japan is.
