MORIMOTOM,
That is a cool light on the keys and a sweet knife next to the gorgeous Seb. What light and slippie would that be?
Thanks,
Bryan

Also, what Subaru do you drive that has a trunk lid button on the remote? My '06 Impreza's trunk has to be opened with the key or a release on the floor next to the driver's seat... it's one of the few things I don't like about my car. Otherwise your remote looks exactly like mine.

thanks fellas.

the light is one of these (though not the hematite coated):

iirc, i paid $75 for mine. not very bright, but handy to have. i had been looking for a keychain light, but found even the AAA fenix models too large. stumbled on the photon fanatics.

the slipjoint is a mike alsdorf interframe jack. tkc turned me on to these, wonderful little knife.

i drive a 08 outback. the button doesn't open the trunk, only unlocks it, which is kinda useless. i can open the trunk either by unlocking the doors from inside or hitting the remote twice, thus unlocking all the doors.

Last couple of days has been one of my new favorites, Kershaw 1725PE JYDII. Absolutely a great knife. I really enjoy the flipper on the knife.:thumbup:

ok good, so it's not just me. The Christmas after I got the car, a friend an I were out christmas shopping at an extremely crowded mall. I'd only had the car about three months and had never opened the trunk with the key. I didn't bother to unlock the doors. Alarm started going, people looking at us. Not plesant.

Then about a year ago my girlfriend and I were renting a movie early on a Sunday morning. The batteries in my remote were dying and I couldn't get the doors to unlock. So I put the key in the door and the alarm started going off. Fortunately I hadn't installed my Hella Supertones yet or the alarm would have blown out the front windows of the store.

edit to add some knife content:

I spent the afternoon doing some yardwork, so this was my carry knife today:

nearly everything is well thought out on the car.

but the lack of a remote trunk release is annoying. and there is no outlet that supplies power when the car is off.

I put this Bailey Bradshaw folding bowie in my pocket today. One of my favorites:

and there is no outlet that supplies power when the car is off.

That bugs me a bit too.

I test drove an '08 Legacy Outback and loved it, but I really had my heart set on the '06 Impreza and the '08 Impreza wasn't what I was looking for. I had a real hard time finding the car and when I did I jumped on it.

It's a wonderful little tank of a car, but quirky in its own little ways. I still get embarassed at the trash dump when I pull the wrong lever and open the gas door instead of the trunk.

I just hit 50,000 miles last week on the way back from Atlanta (Blade should have been last week...).

Slight update since my last dump:

* Marathon TSAR on a Zulu band: my Omega's being regulated. Nice sturdy watch.
* Yellow CV Peanut. Awesome!
* Uni-ball.
* Suzuki V-Strom key (my new toy! :))

My wallet is now looking a bit the worse for wear, both literally and figuratively…

Right pocket: iPhone, Kershaw RAM
Left pocket: Formerly LM Charge X-Ti, now Spyderco Native. Soon to be a LM Skeletool CX. Also, keyring that holds a Ti Rainbow/Electric Prybaby, a mini SAK (forget the name,) a flash drive (currently a 4GB SanDisk Cruzer Ti Plus, soon to be replaced by a Kingston HyperX 32GB,) and a SS Fenix LD0, all around a titanium twist cable ring and held to it by McGizmo gate flips.

Also have varying pens in one back pocket (currently a Parker extendable pen) and my wallet contains a flat car key. May someday shove a Spydercard in there, if I can ever find a straight-edged one for a good price. Occasionally I ponder the Swisscard.

That CV peanut looks good. I've been thinking about picking one of those up. Here's my contribution from today...

I do the opposite, open the trunk when at the gas pump..besides the above issues I love my 07 STi...even though it is on its third engine, and second turbo, thank God for warranty coverage.
And today I carried Sig P220, extra mag, large Seb 21, and a BM mini Rukus.

what's the little rod looking thing right above the watch and the small cylinder above the keys?

The thin cylinder above the watch is a PicoPen. You can get them from CountyComm.

The two cylinders above the keys are a Peanut lighter (also from CountyComm) and a Lummi Wee, a tiny flashlight.
