Which spyderco is that?

That's the Spyderco Denmark Knife. It was designed for carry in Denmark, since in that nation you can't carry anything that locks or can be opened with one hand. It's pretty much the UKPK with a different hole and different name. Cheers

I was going to write "stupidest knife law ever" but then I remembered that in Finland you're not allowed to carry anything at all... :jerkit:

But we all do! :p

"stupidest knife law ever"

I'm with you on that one. I'm glad I live over here in the states. Florida is really lenient about knife carry and stuff like that. Haha one time I had like a half hour conversation with a police officer. Haha a conversation in which we spoke about tactical equipment and showed off our EDC blades! :D Cheers

M.E.

Well, that will never happen here in the Netherlands. I think you should be very careful here with showing your blades. In the opinion of our government and many others, a knife is a weapon.

Except for a ban on autos and balis Canada is surprisingly lenient with knife laws. For now...some weenie politician is bound to try banning things sooner or later.

Haha gotta love those liberals, huh? (No offense to any liberal who is pro-gun or pro-knife...... ya'll are cool.......) Cheers

It was too dark, so I ended up with grainy and crappy photo.

ZT 350 + Benchmade 530

Holy **** you let your knives get wet!!! Isn't there a law against that? :)

I've been eyeing that Benchmade Pardue, just to get to own a knife with Axis Lock. Apart from Spydies I really prefer a narrow slither of a blade. Would you say that the blade on that 530 is thicker or thinner than say, Endura or Native?

You call that wet? ;)

Compared to endura, it's WAY thinner. Maybe even twice thinner. The whole knife is so light that if I threw it in air, wind would propably carry it away.

We are ahead europe in discrimination laws, but a little late in islamization (we are getting there though). :jerkit:

EDIT: I thought I'd add another crappy and grainy shot in the dark. My EDC with shoulderbag:

Additional stuff counts: (bundeswehr[?] shoulderbag), torx screwset, candy tin with matches in, mora 2000, Glock 81. Also managed to get my paracord wristband in the shot. :D edit2: also bandana

True, but you can carry any knife but not openly, unless you have wear Mora on coverall like all building and construction workers. I carry everyday Leatherman Pulse on belt and Spyderco Ladybug 3 with my keys and I got in Victorinox Soldier on my watch pocket or backbag.

but according law, aslong its not dagger, knuckle brass, stiletto and you have legimate reason (like work) to carry such thing its legal. Multitools are basicly... well... unconsidered. After all Finnish law of edged weapons is from 1977... :P

Everyone carries still LEatherman's openly their belt. But carrying something like Spyderco Tenacious is... well pushing it :p

Edit:

Here's picture of my updated EDC:

In keyring besides keys: Spyderco Ladybug 3 H1 plain edge and Photon Freedom Micro nightvision green.
Flashlight is Fenix L1P with 1W led.
Sak is Victorinox Soldier
Leatherman pulse
Nokia 3500 Classic
And my watch: Pulsar Kinetic.

The Spyderco Ladybug is so tiny... so sharp... so handy ^^

Dude, get your facts up to date! The old law was replaced a couple of years ago, for the new law google "järjestyslaki". The division between banned "dangerous edged weapons" and others was replaced by a blanket ban on ALL items "suited for causing bodily harm". And the new law covers EVERYTHING from pen knives to OTF autos, kubotans to battle axes, slingshots to crossbows, collapsing batons to knuckledusters, katanas to pepper spray. The good news is that you can still carry pretty much anything IF you need it for work or some other legitimate purpose (approppriate time and place apply).

OTOH it's now legal to import and sell anything, including the formerly banned stilettos, auto, daggers, bayonets and such.

As for carrying anyway: if you behave yourself, and don't get stopped and searched for something stupid (like carrying your hardware to a night club) there's no reason the fuzz would give a crap about your multitool or pocket knife. There's plenty of common sense among our policemen. But if you cross the line, the law is enforced to the full.

One of the reasons why I'd never carry a €100+ knife outside my own property.

The law also states that you WILL see the inside of a court house if caught with any of the above mentioned items. That is, if the police wants you to. They can let you off the hook or confiscate, but it's up to the officer involved.

Trust me on this. I know all this, and I'm considered a responsible adult, father and civil servant, and I pack 24/7. :)
