Looks like a variation on the WW1 trench lighter.

Somebody sent me a email asking what kind of knife this is and I'm having problems returning it. It's a Caly Jr ZDP189 laminated 420j steel.

Kodiak, is the Skeletool a recent issue that's different from the original version with the clip/caribeneer? or did you mod that also? Really like the wave mod you did to your 710:thumbup::)
 
The wave works great on the 710. I did it after receintly watching Charlie Mikes you tube video. ( thanks!) It really make this knife extra special.
My Skelletool is modded. I cut the carabener off so it rides in my back pocket better. Didn't use it anyway.
 
Hey Baba, I notice you've got the orange switch cover on your Fenix. Where'd you get it and do they sell the GITD version? I bought some off DealExtreme but they're too big for my P2D and PD20s.

It was an extra I got in a Leatherman Blast / Fenix (style) flashlight package at Costco. My switch cover was cracking so I used the extra one in the kit (which happen to be orange) and it works fine.:D

It cracks me up how you have nice stuff and then use a really ghetto money clip. You can get a decent titanium money clip for like $20!

I have several money clips that are very nice. None of which hold my few bills as tight as the "ghetto" clip in question! It's not about stuff that's nice. It's about stuff that works...;):thumbup:

How do you even replace the rubber boot?
 
My EDC now is pretty simple, and usually I keep whatever I can out of my pockets and in my bag. But if it is, it's wallet, keys, cell phone and knife. Nothing else. Cell phone's either HTC Touch or Nokia N95 8GB (or both, depending on what's planned). Knife lately is a Kershaw Scallion.

It was made by Mariano Yannoni, he specializes mostly on medium and small fixed blades. Here's his very basic website (scroll down for hs e-mail address): http://www.mycuchillos.com.ar/cuchillos/?level=collection&id=3

This one came with a nice leather pouch sheath, he usually adds tooling and other decoration to his sheaths, but I prefer them plain so he left it like that. It holds the knife securely and the leather he used is thick.

I think I'll be pocket carrying this knife a lot, so I might get a more compact kydex sheath made for it.
