There are some great emitter options with Quarks. (Well, there used to be... just checked their website and all I could find were R5.) I've got a bunch of pre-R5 Quarks with great color quality, cool and natural. They're all brilliantly bright. Choose your emitter by color quality, as the output differences are much less noticible in real world use than the numbers might indicate.

My recommendation is that color quality is far more important and will have far more influence on the look of what you're illuminating than minor differences in maximum brightness.

EDITED TO ADD: Unfortunately, all the Natural color Quarks seem to be sold out. :-( All my Quarks are pre-R5.

I don't believe I answered this thread in 2004! It's hard to believe this thread is about a week from being 7 years old!:thumbup:

I need to update, although it hasn't changed too much.

Yea, mine has a slight green tint to it. From what I've read about the R5 Quarks on other forums most people who talk about it mention the greenish tint. Its noticable, but once I got used to it dont care anymore. Very bright and puts out a wall of light. I like it so far.
 
As of yesterday a Kershaw Junkyard Dog II. Wow! Congratulations Kershaw on a great knife.
 
Today I'm carrying a Benchmade Mini-Barrage with black G-10 scales. It's the best assisted opener I've run across and has an Axis lock to boot! :D

Would have liked to get that with G-10 but I have the regular Mini Barrage and it one of the best assisted opening out there :thumbup::thumbup:
