What kind of watch is that you have? Looks kinda like an IWC to me but it is hard to tell. In any case it is a neat looking watch.

yeah, but by every DAY carry i'm assuming it's what you bring to your 9-5 job. To my knowledge there's no need for a flashlight from 9am-5pm ;)

small lights i understand. i carry a little LED flashlight on my keychain too. but I see some people here with large 5-6in inovas or surefires.

Ever been in a building during the day when the lights go out? How about a stairwell during a power outage? Or a parking garage? I think you can agree that a light any time of day is appropriate, and the brighter the light the better!

I carry a Surefire Outdoorsman (the same size of a mini-mag light)

Sorry, my hours are 03:00-11:30 not 9-5.

Besides the obvious Oh Stupid Thirty time usage it comes in quite handy in the deep dark recesses that the inmates like to hide things.

Then there is always equipment that breaks down without convenient courtesy lights.

Dan, from what I can see, I think that's a Hamilton Khaki.

Exactly. I work ordinary hours myself, but I still carry my SureFire E2e and Inova X5-T on my person. I also carry my Inova XO3 -- my LED light cannon -- in my shoulder bag.

How many times have you thought you'd dash back home to change before going out for the evening, only to find out you wouldn't have the time? How many times have you stayed out later than you planned, and evening crept up on you quickly?

I carry multiple light sources with me so I am prepared for as many contingencies as possible and because things seldom work out as we plan.

I have a Peter Atwood Tactical whistle, Protech TR3, a Leather Man Charge, and a Karambit by Rich Derespina as a neck knife. Can't be too unprepared for the unexpected situations.

My EDC has changed and hopefully will stay with these for a while (famous last words, eh?)

Large 2003 LE Redwood Sebenza
Al Mar Hawk with Briarwood scales

I changed my EDC again so this is what I have since Jun 18 2005.

Well, here we go. It is July 1st and I STILL have the Strider AR riding in my right front pocket!! I honestly do not see a change on the horizon. I also have a Case Gunstock in my left front pocket. The Stider is 9.3 ounces but rides like a dream!! :D :D

My EDC for today was.....drum roll....... an Mandi w/African Blackwood inlay. I'm sure that comes as big shock to..........no one. :D ;)

I've changed my EDC a bit lately. Today I carried a PE Spyderco Manix, a PE BM 940, a Gerber multitool and a Glock 17.

I carry a titanium, all black Seiko, front pocket wallet, and a Spyderco ParaMilitary and Cricket right now, but I intend to switch the Para for the waved Endura as soon as mine arrives.

This is a great idea for a thread by the way....

Day to day, in the city I will carry,
On my belt (mounted horizontally):
- Left side, a 4 inch fixed double edged straight blade.
- Right side, an RJ martin Karambit.
Leatherman Wave in a pouch at my right just behind the Karambit.

For travel, / outdoors I will put my Chris Reeve Project II on my hip and a Leatherman wave on my belt. Plus my Spyderco tri-angle sharpening kit in my pack.

For air travel? (Not done alot, unless I fly the plane...) Hmmm, Airline - I'd check the project II, and the Leatherman. Then hope for the best.
When I fly myself on the other hand (C-172) - In my flight bag I always carry my Spyderco Sharpening Kit and a Benchmade Nimravus. My Project II is on my hip and I keep my Leatherman on my belt as well.

I'd love to buy a share in one of those smaller corporate jets. NetJet, I think it is. At least you're not treated like one of the great unwashed.
