EDC - What's in Your Pocket(s)??

Well I finally got some pictures of my knives, so here's my usual EDC for town:

And for home, minus the bottom multitool:

And if I'm going to be out in the woods, I'll add my Ka-Bar U.S.M.C. .

Kyp

For a larger EDC its usually either a Buck/Strider Tarani 882 or the SBMF plain edge. Smaller folder would be an Adrenaline Ti.

My brother, who exhibits a high degree of tacticality, allowed me to post his EDC: "Currently my EDC consists of three 16p coated sinker nails, folded emergency kleenex, custom fingernail clips with file, keys to log chain lock, sulfur-squirt 39 stink bomb, BIC 29 top-cap in black, plastic toothpick, tactical oats and honey bar, travel size deodorant stick, sewing kit with magazine of buttons, unharvested collectable pocket lint, and one very old, but unused, prophylactic. Someday I will add a badass .22 short Derringer for total SD."

Clearly, I can't compete with that. My typical loadout of a BM220 in On-Scene sheath, Native in pocket, and drastic plastic boom stick in Comp Tac holster with extra mag pales in comparison.

Next to my wallet and key chain. Well it just has to be light, small and you have to carry it all times. From home to the office/college, by city’s public transport and on a park-picnic.

EDC at home:
Just a Leatherman Wave

EDC out of the house
1) Sony mobile telephone whit 2mp camera,
2) some bandage, tissues and off course rubber jacked’s ;)
3) lip balm,
4) Bic lighter and pen
5) Leatherman Wave.

[in no particular order] No larger or second knife because I live in a knife unfriendly, very urban environment. Even a opinel nr5 turns heads and a gun is just to illegal. To bad….

EDC air travel:
Destination beach/hotel/party/business/city edition to the EDC out of the house.
1) My digital camera
2) bottle of drinking water
3) small rucksack
4) sunglasses
5) Maglite 2AAA

"Drastic plastic"? I like it!! I usually refer to 'em as "tactical tupperware", myself. :D

bump.........

Many thanks for the bump mrwilmoth!

My at Home EDC changes a lot since I play around with flashlights - so in my pockets are often my latest infatuations/obsessions.

EDC_home11.jpg

However the at Home EDC knife remains the same - the Kershaw Ken Onion Leek in black Tungsten DLC - the pic doesn't show it that well - I have to do a lot of post-process manipulation to get it anywhere near realistic - and I'm too lazy to do that - best is to take a look at this thread where I did put in some minimal effort...... Black "boron" Leek

The two flashlight are interesting -
the AdvancedMart 1/2watt 1xAA (review linked with lots of side-by-side comparison beamshots) - falls into my continuing search for the "perfect" 1x AA flashlight (of course I know there is no such thing - but that's what makes it fun
icon11.gif
).

1/2watt gives a light level noticably brighter than regular single 5mm LEDs - so the light level is good for a general purpose indoor flashlight - both for close up work as well as shining across a dark room. This AdvancedMart 1/2w will run just over 6hours on a single AA alkaline - so that's a long runtime and I can use it with impunity :D

The other light - the LightHound V3 single 3.6V rechargeable Li-Ion RCR123 (linked to long comparison shootout review with lots of pics) - is at the other end of the scale - on a single 3.6V rechargeable Li-Ion RCR123 this light give spectacular brightness like I said in my opener for the linked review - "Wanna carry a brightness of a MagLite 3D in your pocket?"

Enough about my current obsessions -

What's THAT in your pocket?!!?

Tell us your most recent interesting use of any of your EDC gear?

Mine was a few days ago.

A heavy canvas mat needed cutting for a sample piece showing the folded edge and joining seam (both multiple layers) - a utility knife could not be found - so I offered to cut it with my EDC SAK.

Friend held up the portion of the mat to be cut and he was amazed by how easily the blade zipped through the material - even the folded edge and joining seam areas.

Actually to be honest - even I ws somewhat surprised by the ease in which the knife cut - I was expecting at least to "saw" a little even with a proper utility blade - purpose built for this kind of cutting - but nope, the SAK went zip-zip and it was done.

So tell us a recent interesting story of the use of your EDC(s)

4 flashlights? 6 if you count the ones on your keyring  What could you possibly need all those for? You carry two of the push button ones on your keyring just in case one burns out and your other 4 lights dont work?

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for carrying the tools you may need during the day, but 4-5 knives and 4(6) flashlights is absurd.

I carry:
Spyderco Alemite Walker
SAK Money Clip w/ small blade, nail file, and scissors. Usually less than $40 in cash in it.
Wallet with ID/Credit/Other cards
Cell phone
Keys
Sometimes my 20gb iPod
