EDC - What's in Your Pocket(s)??

I just noticed, people arent showing there home and travel EDC's (unless people are just using the same stuff)

For normal out of the house EDC:

-Camillus Cuda EDC
nice light, thin knife. Compact and comfortable to use. I sometimes rotate my knives, but I always come back to the Camillus in the end.

-Leatherman Squirt p4
Small, nicely finished, all the tools I could want on a day 2 day basis.

-Keys on Caribiner with small LED
Self explanitory.

I usually have a lighter with me, though I would never touch a cigarette.

Now my home EDC:

This varies with my mood, usually just the squirt becouse Im often to lazy to get a screwdriver when I need one. The blade comes in handy sometimes.

Travel EDC:

Yep the squirt follows me out of town as well, I cant go anywhere without this handy little bugger. I will take whichever knife I think will suite me best on the trip.

Daily ?
Charter arms stainless 44 bulldog.(P.O.S. but ya don't want the buziness end).
Stainless Zippo.
Bucklite... clipped inside my wallet

On my belt
Olympus 800 stylus all weather rig.
Homeade Japanese all stainless, metric, one meter tape measure ( SWEET)

I'm a fish farmer.

Now.. Going to the woods( Fl everglades) it's a whole different rig ...bigger/ badder but still wet resistant.
Back to my diving knife search.

My usual stuff minus the camera used for the pic. I will wear my suspenders if I'm going to be doing a lot of walking since this stuff tends to pull my britches down.

i am still befuddled at the concept of carrying >1 knives. er, that is to say, >1 similar-class knives.

i generally only carry my sng, although it's been in the shop for the past month. :( it does pretty much everything, however.

i may sometimes carry 2 knives, but it will be a small folder and a medium size fixed blade (small sebenza and strider EBT). i think that makes sense because the small folder is useful for most stuff and the EBT takes care of everything else.

but... what's the use in carrying two folders? or two fixed blades? and definately, please explain to me 2 flashlights...

here's my current edc

rayskin wallet - 1 credit card, 1 debit, drivers license, 2 dollars
hamilton khaki automatic

i think i carry entirely too much stuff. but it pales in comparison to what you all got.

As the saying goes..."Two is one, one is none." Have a backup. :D

I usually carry a SAK, a stockman and a multitool, that gives me six cutting blades and just as many screwdriver blades, and yes I used them all.

Come on, I don't need an excuse or reason to carry two (or more) folders or two (or more) flashlights, I just like them.

He he, then again... we have two hands, two feet, two eyes, and not just for backup. Imagine if we had two hearts, we would live longer or at least be able to survive some accidents, heart attack, etc.

How about one small, sharp folder for detailed work and one larger stronger for a the tough jobs, one low power LED flashlight for long battery life and one very bright for when that is needed.

you could technical say im carying 3 folders but in my mind they all serve a totaly differnat role,
My swiss tool does most things plyers, screwdriver ECT but i hate the blades,

my Tomcat is such a beafy blade it will take any and all abuse i may need to put it through i can cut ANYTHING without worrying about doing any real dammage

and my PEII is alwase razor !@#ing sharp so it handles any precise cuts i may need to make, that and any "unpleasant adventures " that i may find myself in

The kitchen sink?.

He he, in Mexico when someone is carrying too much they say: "se colgó hasta el molcajete" ("He/She even hung the molcajete on"), the molcajete is a type of mortar made from volcanic rock.

Well, I tend to carry at least 3 knives (one fixed, one locking folder, and one slipjoint). If I carry a flashlight- which I do in the city- I carry a PEAK 5 LED AA light.

As for why all the knives, I carry them for different purposes/situations. If I'm forced to do something which would cause me to worry that a locked folder might fail, I use a fixed blade. For most things the locking folder is enough, but when it comes to using knives in non-knife company I use a slipjoint as long as the task is safe to complete with a slipjoint. I don't need people complaining that I'm carrying a weapon when its merely a tool.

As far as two flashlights, there are some people who are carrying Surefire Hi-Output flashlights. These are great if you need to get a lot of light on the subject, but sometimes you need softer light, so you might want to use something like a softer LED light.

There are also people who carry a dedicated SD folder or fixed, and don't use them for anything else. Thus, people carry a lot of gear; but I've never understood the people who complain about other people carrying a lot of stuff (not a dig on Midget). I may carry more than other people, but it obviously doesn't bother me so why would it bother other people? Especially funny is when this kind of criticism comes from knife people who are WELL and truly familiar with the absurd discrimination by non-knife people.

Well, the big light might be an incand (like a Surefire) for throw and penetration and the small back-up would be a key chain LED (Photon, Inova or Fenix AAA), just enought manageable light but longer battery life for up close tasks.

That's purty...did the blade come that shape or is that a custom job?
That's what Oupa does: he takes factory knives, and customizes... er, Oupamizes them. :D

OK, I'm an idiot... I somehow didn't see the word "shape" in there, and somehow thought you were asking about the etching.

I carry my Buck 199 Pilot and a Small latama keyring knife, Scissors & File combo. Nothing special or expensive but very functional for my needs. I like the look and feel of the 199 and its very solid. The watch is a Citizen Navihawk.
