EDC!-Which knife or knives are you carrying today???

Someone gave me a $50 Walmart card, so I bought a Kershaw Skyline. Love it. It's perfect for EDC. Next, I want one with a Damascus blade.

I think logo is somehow painted, not laser etched... so a little polish should take it away.

It's an acid etch; same as they've been using on traditional knives for over a century. It'll gradually disappear with use as the carbon steel takes on a patina.

Today's ECD when it was new:

Same knife after about a year of regular carry and use. The steel and stag are both mellowing nicely (an aesthetic that your average stainless and G10 modern knife will never achieve):

These all seem to ride every day in my pockets, if I had to narrow it
down to only one, it would be the JunkYard Dog, very cool sharp knife!

Spyderco Stretch ZDP-189

Kershaw JunkYard Dog with SG2 san mai blade

William Henry Tom Brown Quest with san mai blade and ZDP-189 core

Kershaw Double Cross with san mai Damascus blade and VG-10 core

Victorinox Pioneer Harvester and the ever present Executive

Thanks for the clarification...

Nice patina on your knife, by the way... What do you use on it to prevent rust ?

Regards.

Clove oil or mineral oil is great for rust prevention and I put some on my stag/horn as well. I prefer clove oil myself, I like the smell and its never let me down.

got this in my pocket today :)

Its snowing hard here today and I had to out and about. Deciding that the feel of the day called for stout folder I went with my ZT 0500 MUDD. Of course as expected I didn't have to use it, haha, but it was nice knowing it was there.

I got this for Christmas from my girlfriend, she doesn’t know much about knives but a think she made a good choice whit this one, it’s a 511 Karambit Master model. It’s my first folding knife, I’ve always carried fixed blades, it’s going to be in my pocket for the rest of the month.
