Just my opinion, but that looks like a fancy wood one hitter with a glass bowl perhaps. :D

Nothing so dramatic. It's a pipe tamper (as in briar, not glass). Helps tamp down the tobacco once I get it going. Puts a cake on the top of the bowl so ash doesn't go everywhere when I smoke. I've been a pipe smoker for as long as I can recall, but I've never had a cigarette in my life, but you're right, it does look like a cig holder from the 20's/30's.

I like it, I lost my pipe knife (was just a cheapy from tobacco store) so I've been carrying a small Remington pen knife and a .223 cartridge to tamper the tobacco :D:thumbup:

Going to give my JWS a little rest and be kind to my hand/wrist by carrying my newest, a BM AFO II with a low-rider clip that puts the knife all the way into my pocket. Also switched up my slipjoint and am going with my new Case large Gunstock in chestnut bone.:)

That's a cool tamper. I've been smoking a pipe for a bit over a year now and I still use my Czech Tool. Very nice.

Keys whit my trusty Tecate Bottle opener. : Some ass hole true it at me at a concert once, hit me right on my forehead, got nasty cut from it:grumpy:.

Later that night i found my self in need of a bottle opener, for a beer I was going to drink for medicinal purposes. So I went back to where I was struck and there it was. I think God true it, in which case sorry God for the ass hole remark.
