Can you give me some deatals of the knife whit the dog trakes?

I have carried the same knife everyday for the past 5 years. The Kershaw Cyclone. The other day the torsion bar inside started slipping. I have to send it back. I am going to be very sad being away from it!! I have been looking into getting a Zero Tolerance however :p

You don't have to send it back. They will send you a new torsion bar and it will be very easy for you to replace at home. The knife will work just fine as an unassisted folder while the part is in the mail.
If you don't have torx bits I bet they will help you out if you mention it to them when you talk to them.

I don’t have much experience whit folder, but I’m reality liking this Benchmade Bedlam 860. Made a lanyard for it using a old bone skeleton figure I had for years, attached to a hang mans noose. It the first time of carried a folder like this.

I noticed that the handle has a glass brake pommel think on the end of it that is a plus. I can see myself using that to bash a few heads, very cool feature.

As far as carrying it im no sure if I’m comfortable carrying it on my week left side, I’m not accustomed to opening the knife whit my left hand, going to have to do a lot of repetitions to get that muscle memory down.

How do you all carry your folders???
Any tips and suggestions are welcomed.:o

That lanyard bead you have is awesome, I don't know why I'm surprised. It seems you always have something interesting to show us

You are to kind, that the first time i have ever made a lanyard from paracord, not my first noose. :grumpy:

I found that little skeleton thing at a swap met, it was attached to an old silk bag thingamajig looked chine’s or japanes.

FFG ZDP Endura. I can't seem to carry the same knife more than a day or two without switching, but this knife is always among the most-carried.

Ahh, there's the Edwood7 that we're use too. Badass looking charm on it too

It really depends on my carry. My EDC gentleman's knives are always tip down on right pocket (right handed over here)... for me, it seems a little less intimidating when you pull it out of your dress pants.

However, for work, outdoors, and possible bail-outs (which is probably what you're doing), right front tip up is how I carry. My Spyderco w/ ZipTie mod and the Emerson need this for the pocket deployment, and I've been opening like this for a while. Also, economy of motion (see Magpul Dynamics ).

It really depends on how you train and what you're comfortable with. I've known guys that carry about the same size knives as the Bedlam on back right (wallet) pocket and can deploy as quick as myself.

Since you have the manual Bedlam, much like the BM 710/940, it's very quick to deploy the knife by holding the axis lock back, flick it open about 3/4 way, and when it's just about to hit the end, you can release the lock and it'll snap like an auto. Just make sure to oil joints and practice.

Before I forget, my EDC:

Notes:
1 - Yep, the Emerson Mini-7 again with Smith & Wession TactPen
2 - Yep, I f**ked up the tip, but I managed to sharpen it again
3 - It's funny how the cam focused more on the doodle writing on the back than the knife/pen itself

Edit: Good call on the axis lock though. It's one of the strongest locks available. Probably a must in your line of work :D
