Need to get a Spiderco, to see why it’s so popular. I just have to find the right one for me.

The Spyderco's are really nice. I wasn't really a fan initially because of a person that had a bad experience with them, but ever since I got myself a Tenacious, I've been hooked ever since.

Next time you're stateside or have a chance to see a Spyderco dealer somewhere, take a few different knives and feel out what you like. Each knife I find has a different feel towards them (vs. Benchmade, in my opinion), and it's only up to you which one you like best. The Persian and Military have been recommended a few times for you, but like I said, feel it first and then you'll get the idea. On a plus side too, Spyderco's seem cheaper then Benchmades, Emersons, etc...

A note though: if you get a Spyderco, see if you can get one that's made in USA. The Chinese ones aren't bad, but I find that the Chinese ones are a little sharp around the edges and the SpyderHole is a bit rough. Some fine sandpaper takes care of that, but I feel that the USA made ones seem to have more quality control.

Also, keep tradition:

The Military have been in my pocket today also - been onsite for about a full week now :D

I can't carry knives anymore... People at work told my manager now they are rewriting the company policy to exclude any pocket knives. Gee I used it to open envelopes and others used it to open boxes! But according to sheep they are weapons....The sheep came running to me the other day to use my multitool though! UGH I love hypocrisy...Especially since I help people.

What do you do for a living? Also, since you can carry a multitool, get a Leatherman Charge Ti. It has a S30V knife, so better than that 440HC they normally use.

WOW..
Think that this is only my first post on the forum, although i've been around a little while.. I got four new knives in the mail today, so don't really know which one i'll be carying the rest of the day. Got a Chaparral, Junior, a Native 5, and a Case Swayback Jack. Believe it or not, but the Case was actually the sharpest of the four. I couldn't believe that. What a great forum you guy's here have, and so much good information.

Reguards,
John

Met up with my buddy last night who runs a new EDC store called EDC Canada. He replaced my Chaparral that had a slightly bent blade, and sold me a Kershaw Skyline. Can you say "Happy Camper"?
