Zero Tolerance 302 (Coyote Brown) assisted opening, from Kai Cutlery. I've probably owned at least a hundred folders over the years anyway, but this one just kicks ass.

Yes sir, a folding karambit that isn't waved is pretty much useless in my book...

??? Why? I've carried a Spyderco Karambit a couple of days a week for a few years now (my weekend work knife.) Pull it out, open it with your thumb. Works fine. I don't understand why _not_ having the knife automatically open when you pull it out of your pocket makes it "useless." (I take it that's what cutting a piece out of the thumb hole does for you?) I can see that it would be faster for sure, but if I had to use mine defensively it's just a quick switch to reverse grip...

When the knife has to be open when I pull it I carry a fixed blade.

BTW, half the time I take off pocket clips. Most of them make the knife ride high, increasing the chance it will snag on something and get lost (especially on a karambit with that big hole sticking out of your pocket begging to get hooked on something), and it's a pain to keep anything else in your pocket with the knife clipped. I just drop them loose in my pocket, or carry in a side coat pocket. The Spydie Warren Thomas design is solid steel, nice and slick, only 4 3/4" long closed and barely a quarter inch thick, so I leave the clip on but don't usually bother with it. YMMV.

Finaly, I was able to get onto a computer. I've been carrying this old pen knife I found at an antique store in North Carolina,.
