EDC with a non folder?

Not desiring to be photographed in your undies aside, I doubt she's braver than you. As far as I've seen, she has never shown her face. I believe you have. I say it takes more cajones to reveal your face on the web, than anonymously showing the majority of your legs. Not that I blame her, stalker central if she did.

well since my avatar is my face.... I guess i have. oh well. anyways, If I were a dude, I'd carry my knife like moose most likely. or pocket carry like OREGON or SaturatedShadow does. Man pockets are nice and roomy.

And I must say, it is quite a lovely avatar to boot.

I wear the Propper Tac Pants, pretty much all the time, and they have been the best investment I have made in clothing in years. Good, solid pants with tons of pockets. 10 pockets, and reinforced pocke corners for folder clips.

I like carrying my BK14 IWB, it keeps it out of mind and out of sight when I'm say, working in a school or something. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but some soccer moms don't understand, best not to cause a scene.

Exactly, a little discretion can go a long way...

For probably 2-3 years now I've kept a KABAR TDI knife clipped on my pants behind and slightly left of my belt buckle. It's curved and the blade is fairly short so it does not draw a lot of attention to itself when in use. Any t-shirt will cover it up nicely. For the last week or so, I've done this as well, and I've very pleased with it. Cold Steel Pendleton Mini Hunter, 3" blade length, 6.25" OAL, 2.4oz overall, VG-1 steel, absolutely love it.

I just took a velcro strap and placed it tight-ish around my ankle. Looped the stock Cold Steel sheath around this upside down, and done. The sheath retention is strong and hold the knife securely upside down. It does not move much or shift from side to side. I've walked around the office, went out all weekend, driven in my car, etc. No issues to speak of.
To draw it all you do is hike up your pant leg a few inches, bend your leg at the knee, and tug the handle. Requires you to stand on one foot but with a bit of practice I can get to it fairly quickly.

I settled on this method of carry (for now), worked great for non work carry. I have the clip on order so we'll see how that works with an inside-the-pants carry.

Here's a couple of mods I made so I can pocket carry a couple of my small fixed blades:thumbup:

Paul, that's ingenious!
We were just discussing the possibility of using eCLIPse on another forum and was directed here by a member.
Did you make that extender bit yourself? Is it interchangeable or do you have one for each sheath? Also, does the sheath not pivot around the single screw?

thanks, Greg
