It flips pretty well because it runs so smooth, but the tiny little flipper tab makes it a bit finicky to use. It's sort of an amazing knife otherwise; it's big but light, and while I don't usually like giant spatula blades the shape on this one is great and it's thin enough behind the edge to be a great cutter. It's wide, but it's also reasonably thin and light and it carries well.

It's about about millimeter or two of flipper away from being fabulous.
