I stopped by my local PO mid-day, picked this one up, and took it back to the job. To borrow the descriptor from my man, @SpySmasher , here's my "monstrous" new Police 4 in K390.

Zaan and small 21 today and letting my girlfriend carry the larke Inkosi for a while because "grey and pink are her favorite colors and the Inkosi doesn't stick or open weird like the sebenza and Umnumzaan":rolleyes: whatever :D I'm glad she likes it :)

Some time ago I added the finger choil and easy open cutout for the fairly strong spring (8+ to 9 to my nail) on this older Case 11031SH It follows me to most local eateries, where it doesn't ever sound the alarm. :) One older woman even called it "cute"! urgh......

The lower knife just arrived yesterday, a used GEC #15 Crown Opener with Ebony covers. Besides some needed smoothing of the inner liner corners, I also converted the flat screwdriver to a much more useful (for my needs),... 2 pronged fork. So far it's worked great on cheeses, shrimp cocktail, and picking up some lunch meats. Later today it gets a full workout at my local Whole Foods, with a small piece of baked chicken or fish, artichoke hearts, pineapple chunks, grape sized tomatoes, peppadew peppers, and raw spinach are usually on my plate. Yum,..... and no more crap plastic forks for me!

Won't be long before a nice Patina will begin to form on the small fork to better match the Case folder. Abrupt spine swedge stop was also removed, and the swedge extended much like later models of the 11031SH have.

The added finger choil and easy open access cutaway fit my hand like a glove.....

Yea it is, overall it's a slick little knife but has one major flaw. Flipper with a compression lock doesn't mix well, if you flick it closed like you would a pm2 the flipper tab hits your index finger thus stopping the blade from fully closing unless you position your fingers to the very back of the compression lock.
Man hate to hear that...you would think that would have been dealt with during the pre production phase/testing. But if it's part of the overall design, maybe nothing could be done to change it without scrapping the knife.

Your 525 is very sweet, H HFinn --hadn't seen that one before. I've been getting into Italian knives a bit lately with Fox and lionSTEEL. I'll have to check that baby out. Just what I need--another knife on the ever-growing want list. :(

To top it the knife comes with a very nice leather sheath, that can be carried either on belt or in the pocket. I don't mind it not having a clip, this is almost an gentleman's knife, the size may push it out of this category for many. I personally consider it to be a gent's knife, a knife for a functional gentleman.
