I like that Lionsteel, Herlock, but it doesn't seem to be in their catalog or currently available on this side of the pond. Care to share a few details? Model, size, blade steel? I'm assuming it's Ti. It has that Wilson Combat Starburst look that I'm so into.

ChazzyP ChazzyP : Hi! Thanks. Yes, it has some similarity with the Wilson Combat handles :). This is the grey matte model. My long version, with basic specs, here:

About where to buy, besides the possibility to order directly from Lionsteel web-site, I’ll try to send you a PM. I’m still a bit uncertain about the rules for listing here non BF dealers though very reputable and being this not properly a “spot deal” as I understand it :D.

Thanks, guys. My initial research fell woefully short, though I did find it at other dealers and on YouTube later. Regardless, I appreciate the info, hh, and am grateful for your post, link, and PM, Herlock.:thumbsup: for two good guys.

That TiSpine is a gorgeous knife and another added to the wish list...sigh....

Over the past few years Crypt Gall Wasps have appeared on the Cape, wreaking havoc and killing vast numbers of Black Oaks here. Much as they did on Long Island over a decade ago they seem to have done their damage and disappeared. Our house and garage sit on two parcels that comprise a nice grove of oaks and maples. Fortunately, we have both Pin and White Oaks along with Blacks so we still have many trees in good shape, but today I took down the last of the standing dead which sat off the corner of our house. I had my WC Les George Eagle in my pocket.

I remember a thread a couple years ago along the lines of You know you're a real knife guy, when.... Someone posted something like ...when you're cutting timber and the knife in your pocket costs more than your chainsaw.
