EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I dragged an oldy but moldy out today. A vintage Spyderco collaboration knife, one of the earlier ones done with Frank Centofante, a serrated wharncliffe I got from long since gone, Blade Forum’s “OB”, our own Dave H. one of the earliest advocates of the pass around thread. He gave it to me to replace one I’d broke that Sal Glesser and Spyderco couldn’t replace because it was discontinued. (Sal did give me 2X the value in credit for what I paid for the original back in the day.)

I remember the original print ads, it showed the serrated blade cutting through a steak, silverware and the plate iirc If anyone has a copy of the original ad or a link to the picture used in the magazine ads in the back page of Blade I’d appreciate a copy or link.

Oddly enough this actually became my goin’ out for dinner knife, it was, (is) my favorite people friendly, non offensive goin’ out to Outback Steakhouse for dinner steak knife. ;).
Love your posts/stories here sir!

Wow, do my eyes deceive me or is that C15. The first Spyderco collaboration knife, the first USA made Spyderco, the first liner/walker lock Spyderco, the first Golden Colorado made Spyderco, I’m sure that knife had a few other firsts I neglected to mention. Undoubtably one of Spyderco’s most pivotal knives ever made.

I bought one in 1990-91 when they first came out. A couple of years back I asked Sal somewhere on here about sending it in for a spa treatment. He told me it was a piece of history knife and I should keep it the way it was but of course the choice was mine. He did say though that he wouldn’t take the risk. So I kept it as is. Here’s what a Spyderco/Terzuola C15 collaboration knife looks like after nearly 30 years, 10 of those hard use.

Been slacking off in this thread; though, for the most part I've been carrying my regular stuff - just started changing stuff up again a few days ago.
Today, a little larger than necessary - since I declared it a lazy day & didn't plan on doing anything other than bonding with my dog

I had a kinda odds-and-endsy day doing little things around the house; basketball banking, admin, and emailing; and sorting through and bagging almost 50 pair of backordered shorts for my teams that finally got delivered. I neglected taking any pics of the Cheburkov Voron I carried today, but I did spend a little time over in the shop where this file photo was taken a while back.

I think I'll stick with Russian knives as I wait for the two I ordered--a CKF MILK and an Andrey Biryukov CF liner-lock--to wend their way toward me, hopefully arriving before Santa does.
