EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

How do you like that Buck Advantage? I've been looking at the wood grip but then found the pro with G10 and steel upgrade. I really like it but I'm on the fence!
I like the Buck Vantage a lot, both large and small (that's a small in my picture) but you may want to shop somewhere you can handle it first. You can't be too picky about centering, and some reviewers seem to have trouble using the flipper tab. You have to kinda fine tune the pivot so it opens well but doesn't wobble. I bought a number of them around five years ago, when the wood handled model came with a Sandvik steel blade, and they were fully disassemblable. I don't know if you can still easily adjust and change out the blades.

All these pics of the Atom are making me want one bad.

Two carbon fiber handled, carbon steel bladed knives on a Cummins with two turbos...

That knife is really a beauty. It has the most beautiful carbon fiber and clean lines.
Thanks, brother. The clean lines are what attracted me in the first place and I liked the herringbone pattern in the CF, but had no idea about the intermingled red until I had it in hand. Depending on the lighting and angle, the knife can appear almost totally black/grey or the red can really jump out at you.

It's going need disassembly to try to correct a minor annoyance, but I'm overall very pleased and growing more so as it breaks in and I grow accustomed to it.

Congrats on the new acquisition! Always love learning about new Russian folder options. Its a beauty!

For all that's holy please no one post this knife in green. First a red one, now a blue one. If a green one pops up I think I'll loss my ever knife loving mind. Simply beautiful.

The sheer number of scale options TRM offers is staggering. Linen and canvas micarta, G10, wood, CF, and CF/kevlar, in a myriad of colors, and in flat or milled/contoured variations. Seems like they experiment with new scales every week! Even seen some one offs in their FB group. No green CF yet but if requested a bet they would! Pretty unique and amazing company imo.

Edit: Managed to score one of their RJ Martin Machine flippers which is in route. Pretty excited about that one.

FmL Well maybe mid 2020 one will make it in my collection with green carbon fiber. But it will have to visit WValtakis WValtakis for a left hand carry mod. Cant be a normy. Lmao

The ti show side liner on mine has holes drilled already behind the scale for a lefty clip position so might not be too difficult to accommodate. Look to be threaded also but havent dissassembled yet to verify.

Wow thats really cool! Any more details to share?

That’s about it unfortunately. My dad’s memory is just wiped at this point. My mom recalled him mentioning all the submerged logs he had to search around. THEN he found out there were gators in the river later. Probably would have been a little distracting had he known that ahead of time!
