EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Looks like a custom knife aligned with the principles of the Skyline... What is it?
It's an Andrey Biryukov liner lock that seems to be nameless. The Spanish dealer's listing for it translates to "...Titanium Carbon Fiber S90V" which in the original language reads "...Titanio Fibra Carbono", so it'll be my Titanio. F filtrum sent me a link to Andrey's website, but the knife does not appear there. It seems to be one of his earlier models, perhaps from 2008. It's my second of his, the other being the still available Sigma.

I love this thread. So many beautiful knives. I carried these two today to my last couple of calls before Christmas holidays.20191223_194504-3547x1995.jpg
I came home to find my Bladeforums traditional came in the mail. Absolutely love it!

double carry 0561
U mean two pcs? I remember taking two hinderer s, one strider and some more of a cutter knives, haha, i just somehow forgot that one of hinderer s was in the jacket pocket. A slicer and a spanto, loved that combo, sure cant blame on carrying two hindies!

Is that the wingman? How you liking it?

Yes sir, Wingman MDDK, type 2

I had been waiting for this one to pop up and it hasn't been available since release.

I randomly messaged Wingman on Instagram Friday night after a few double Ipa's and they were just checking in a few of this exact model so now I'm a little poorer but I think I made the right decision.

This thing is really nice, probably one of the nicest I've ever owned. shaves hair and is extremely well balanced, fit & finish is amazing, the hand rubbed satin helps a lot too.

What do you think of the mechanism? It's different, so has my attention;)

The frame lock is normal, lock is tight and no lock stick. It has this soft yet firm lock up like my Liong Mah's, definitely oozes quality. The flipper is well executed too, I think Wingman leased this from another knifemaker if I recall correctly and it shows.

I'm a huge fan, this will definitely not be leaving my collection. I am really beginning to love 3.25" flippers more and more, they;re just the right size for all uses.

Yeah, the only real gimmick is that the flipper "disappears" when open, they used Lee William's Kickstop mechanism. Nice flipping action/ detent?

How's the grind? Decently thin behind the edge?

Oh, now I understand what you were asking. I didn't even notice the flipper disappears until you said something. It's really cool, the flipper tab stays flat and acts as the spine jimping when the blade deploys, huh this thing gets better and better.

Flips great with lots of authority but kind of quiet like my Liong Mah's. hard to explain but kind of a silent thud/click when it engages yet the feeling is like a bank vault just closed.

Grind is great. this thing is sharp. I had my grip wrong and first flip out of the box I grazed my palm and bled for a good 15 minutes. the false edge really keeps it thin behind the edge. tip is almost toothpick yet there seems to be enough belly to really be a good slicer.

Really solid little knife.
