The red Bugout has Veyron Line CF scales by Aramis Akhmedov in Russia. The fit and finish work is top notch. Google his name and you will find his website.
As someone else pointed out when I posted another picture earlier in this thread, they give the knife a look and feel like a lean Griptilian.
I’m familiar with him! I didn’t know he did those as well. But thanks for the info, I was sitting here contemplating snagging a bugout all day and I might do it for those scales. Thanks a lot!
He does some incredible work that’s for sure. I’m guessing he also did the blue ones just judging by the looks side by side. I think I’m going to do it; I haven’t avoided it for any reason but I’ve got a little freedom and a relatively low price point at the moment so I thought it might be time to pull the trigger on one. The customizability is a huge bonus lolVery nice, I've admired his work for years. Who made the scales on the blue Bugout? Which do you like better?
I'm going back on forth on several different CF scale manufacturers for my backup Bugout.
Do it, you won't be disappointed. Probably my most carried and most liked knife.
View attachment 1258331 Bummin round the house again today.
Me three, though I did manage a couple hours in the basement sorting through crap and building a shelf in the woodshop as part of the sheetmetal shop improvement. I got pretty wrapped up in posting a thread re the knives I acquired in 2019 and forgot all about the one I carried and used today. Yesterday's Hati and today's F95T occupy opposite pockets in a lined leather slip and it's not uncommon for one to follow the other on the next day. I had to go back in the files for pics due to my distraction despite it being a fine winter day for fresh photos.
Nice DW!Still getting a feel for the big 4 Max, but I think it's morphed nicely into the rotation-stable.
