My first "good knife". It has been used and worked hard. I've had to regrind the tip after I snapped it. It has been sat in mud, cut through dry wall, and used for anything and everything... often when it wasn't the right tool for the job but the tool I had on me. I love it's still smooth popping acton and utilitarian blade. With that said, I'll probably never buy another tanto combo. It is not the most useful for my EDC but works wonders for my utility needs. 15803841221841283345468817921360.jpg

Thank you sir.
"Way too **** many for one person" is my wife's count. I believe its somewhere around 30. I think you've seen most of them by this point in the thread. Pictured below is my first one. My grandfather carried these both and then gave them to me (on my 10th birthday IIRC). An appreciation for good edc tools was set that day and I've carried these items in some form or another since then.

Wow that's awesome, I have a Zippo my grandfather carried also, unfortunately he had poor taste knives (Junk)!! You definitely have some great Zippo's! I started collecting them when I was a teenager, also had several gifted to me from family, finally filled up a Zippo display case. I need to weed out some of the the plain one's with new.

Huh. I looked up "Frood-Stobie", because I was curious. For those who have a taste for history, the Frood-Stobie mine might be an interesting read.

Nice! I was watching a vid about that folder last night regarding RWL34 cut tests and said it was like .006 BTE! A real beauty that performs!

Mine is .016" behind the edge. The point is a needle. Delicate I suppose.

I suspect it will stand the test of time and win out over my current go-to, a Shirogorov HatiOn Lite (with a carbon fiber show side scale). The blade lengths are identical at 85mm. Geometry is similar though the Neo has more belly. Each are .04mm BTE. The Neo's handle is 8mm longer and 2mm wider as well as being contoured. Weights are 2.45oz/69g for the Shiro and 3.55oz/100g for the Neo. The Neo's Ti scales have a milled finish that mimics a G10 surface. All that gives it superior ergonomics over the Shiro. At least in my (large-size glove) hand.
