EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

This knife, Bastinelli Spade, is in my opinion everything the Bastinelli Picoeur should have been. Sturdy and ergonomic. I know some of us would like this to have pikal blade, with the edge backwards, but this suits me just fine.

The sheath however has some problems. I installed the ulticlip that comes with the knife. Looks like, when I try to draw the knife with the clip attached, the movement forces the knife in the sheath so that it gets stuck. If the draw is upwards with the force of the pull right below, there is no problem. So this sheath works fine as a neck sheath, the knife is very flat and light. I attached a statick cord to carry this tucked inside waistband. It also works very well if I carry this in my pocket, pulling the knife causes the sheath to break free and dangle by my side.

One way to remedy the sheath problem would be to heat the sheath slightly and then push the knife in the other way round, edge facing the holes, then compressing the sheath between two boards and some foam. This would require to remove some material from the throat of the sheath so that the knife is seated correctly.

Agreed! 3.6" blade is not to call large
Yesterday and today I went back to the knife that had been my everyday work user the first year I had it and is still a frequent carry. I was on the job site yesterday, modding the gutter cutouts in the roof as they were too tight to fit the outlets plus there were rafter tails directly in the way of several downspout drops. Today was mostly spent in the sheetmetal shop, resolving the sizing from the site-made templates and making final prototypes of the bottom drip aprons and the gutters themselves. Tomorrow I'll jump into production and hope to have the rear sections ready to install early next week.

What gave the parallel ones under idaho?

I had the stormtrooper and it had elmax. Sold it. Kicking myself. But I did get top dollar for it so shouldn't complain. Just wished I had picked up another one in elmax before they disappeared. Now finding one in elmax is like seeing a unicorn.
I have a combat troodon stormtrooper. Did they make them in different blade steels? I bought it a few years ago and I don’t remember what steel it is and it doesn’t say anywhere.

Not sure mine was definitely elmax. Let me see if I can find an old picture for you. If not I can take one next time I see my buddy20190925_101909.jpg
